About the Role & Team:

Would you like to influence the Food and Beverage items sold at Walt Disney World? Are you curious about what drives the financial performance of our restaurants? Are you passionate about bridging the gap between data and storytelling? As a Statistical Associate with Food and Beverage at Walt Disney World, you will use data to assist operating partners understand their business and make informed decisions. You will explain drivers of financial performance to partners at multiple levels of the organization.

You will join a team of data investigators and communicators in supporting your designated Parks and Resorts. You will also work on projects that span all of our Food and Beverage operations.

This is an hourly/Full-Time, office and technical role that reports to the Data Governance and Quality Manager.

What You Will Do:

Every day as a Statistical Associate is different! On any one day you might:

  • Model the financial impact of a menu change

  • Identify the main reasons for cost of sales variances

  • Create reports on varied aspects of our performance

  • Gather data from different sources and identify new sources

  • Develop a project to improve our processes

  • Build new reports to provide deeper insights into our operations

  • Present an analysis to partners at multiple levels of the organization

  • Respond to ad hoc requests from operating or line of business partners

You Will Have:

  • Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to collaborate and partner with cross functional teams

  • Passion to learn new systems and processes

  • Desire to resolve cause of a situation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Disney Food and Beverage experience

  • Leadership experience

  • Familiarity with relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL)

  • Developed reports or visualizations in applications such as Business Objects, Power BI or Tableau

  • Prior work automating workflows with scripting languages such as Visual Basic for Application (VBA) or Python

  • Experience with NALA, Ariel or SAP

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
