Disney’s Corporate Alliances team develops and holistically manages complex, long-term, multi-dimensional relationships with select brands and companies. This team is dedicated to creating incremental value to The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) and its partners through creative development of marketing and sponsorship programs, management of partner relationships across all business units at TWDC and the creation of new partnerships aligned with the Company’s businesses and strategic goals.
The Strategy Manager helps lead strategy, financial analysis, and recommendation development for the Corporate Alliances organization. The Manager will work closely with Business Development teams and leadership (VP, SVP) to develop strategic analysis and approaches for the pursuit of Disney’s largest accounts, many of which are integrated across the Disney company (Parks, studios, direct-to-consumer, media, consumer products). The Manager will also be responsible for developing approaches to measuring the ROI (return on investment) of key partnerships, which will include data collection and analysis, as well as collaboration with Disney’s consumer insights group for survey development and analysis. This team provides a unique opportunity to learn about business units across Disney, while making a significant and lasting impact!
Responsibilities:
- Create compelling, persuasive presentation materials to communicate key learnings, insights and recommendations to senior-level executives and external partners globally
- Develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with other TWDC segments and stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Research, Direct-to-Consumer, Walt Disney Imagineering)
- Evaluate and advise on financial elements and strategic alignment of existing partnerships and future opportunities: Financial valuations and scenario modeling and Risk identification and mitigation strategies
- Advise internal stakeholders across the partnership lifecycle
- Analyze the performance of partnerships to extract actionable insights (e.g., best practices, areas of improvement)
- Structure and lead multi-disciplinary projects, collaborating closely with Disney and/or third-party teams
- Support strategic planning processes, including annual planning, long-range planning, organization planning and design, and business reviews
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years professional experience with demonstrated career progression
- 2+ years professional experience in an analytical-heavy role (management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, brand management and/or product management)
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or marketing related field
- Advanced analytical skills (forecasting, opportunity/market sizing, trend analysis, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience independently managing multiple complex, cross-functional projects and stakeholders
- Ability to craft executive-ready presentations and present meaningful insights to executive leadership
- Advanced interpersonal skills to gather data, gain consensus and build relationships internally and externally
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Tableau databases; proficiency in SQL
- Experience with VBA within Microsoft Office tools
- Survey writing / analysis experience
- Passion for Disney business units
The hiring range for this position in Florida is $120,800 to $161,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
