About the Role & Team

Engineering Services Managers supervise mechanical and electrical trades while leading a team of up to 50 craft workers.

As an Engineering Services Manager in Transportation Maintenance of Vehicle Maintenance, no day will be the same – from keeping “Cinderella’s Carriage” looking beautiful to maintaining “the Manatee Transport vehicles” and “Security K9 Transportation” – anything is possible in this role!

You will lead a team of automotive service technicians who perform corrective and preventative maintenance on our fleet of vehicles. You will set clear goals and support the department's vision. You will also perform administrative work which includes scheduling, payroll, and coordinating inspections, with a focus on the professionals you lead and the guests who come to Disney to have a magical experience!

You will report to the Manager of Transportation Engineering Services.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and supervise a team of service technicians and advisors
  • Ensure efficient workflow and productivity in the service department
  • Ensure your team is performing tasks safely and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and resolving issues
  • Help your team get to the root of a problem and find a solution
  • Maintain accurate records of all service transactions
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automotive technology
  • Work in a collaborative environment
  • Work in the field across Disney property

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a maintenance-related field including direct experience in an industrial, plant, manufacturing, theme park, or transportation maintenance environment
  • 3+ years of experience as a Service Manager or similar role within the automotive industry
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one in 90 days of employment
  • Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, air brake systems, tire services, diesel engine repair, and dealership operations
  • Remarkable time management skills
  • Experience with service writing and maintaining accurate records
  • Outstanding coaching, mentoring, and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels of the organization including executives
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as a willingness to work some evenings, holidays, weekends, and varying shifts including overnight shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial management and budgeting experience
  • Familiarity with SAP and maintenance reporting/scheduling systems such as Maximo
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in either A or B with passenger endorsement

Education

  • A Bachelor of Science degree or comparable experience
