Job Summary:

Vice President, Regional Branches oversees the success of all PFCU Branches in their assigned territory/region. This position is primarily responsible for leading and developing the current and future leaders of the Branches, so they have the skills and abilities to achieve their financial goals and exceed member expectations. The VP promotes PFCU's vision, mission, and values and creates a strong culture within the region where individuals thrive and grow. In addition to developing strong, capable leaders, the VP, Regional Branches establishes the budgets for the region and works with Branch Managers to set budgets and plans, devise strategies to boost sales, and evaluate the Branches’ performance. This position must monitor all Branches' growth and progress, driving them to reach new heights in both financial performance and member satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Develops Current and Future Leaders to Take Branches to the Next Level of Excellence

  • Mentors current leaders, building strength and providing them opportunity to grow and develop within the Credit Union.
  • Evaluates individual Branch Managers and works with them to identify their strengths and areas they need to improve. Creates development plans and performance goals for the managers to ensure they build both management and leadership skills.
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and ensures the Branch Managers are doing the same within the Branches.
  • Provides strong leadership to all Branch employees, ensuring optimal performance of every Cast Member.
  • Works closely with the Talent Strategy team to develop a Talent Strategy for the region, ensuring the hiring, promotion, training, mentoring, and retention of top cast members and managers.
  • Ensures managers receive ongoing training, coaching, and guidance to support their success in meeting all member service, growth, and sales initiatives.
  • Spends a majority of working hours in the Branches, (approximately 75-80%) coaching Branch Managers, building relationships, assessing performance of both people and operations, monitoring physical assets, and the driving exceptional member service.
  • Provides guidance and direction on handling obstacles and challenges that arise.

Creates Strategies and Business Plans for Branches to Meet and Exceed Goals and Objectives

  • Works closely with CRO and the other Regional Branch VPs to develop strategies and create new products, services, marketing strategies, pricing models, or other initiatives that will positively impact the Branches’ performance in all areas.
  • Leads the region’s Branches in implementing the strategies and initiatives. Works with Branch Managers to execute strategies and business plans.
  • Communicates with regularly, and collaborates and coordinates efforts with the other VP, Regional Branches to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • In alignment with the Credit Union’s overall mission, vision, and goals, identifies appropriate goals and objectives for the region and each Branch within the region.
  • Develops the brand for the Branches with future objectives and direction in mind.
  • Communicates goals and objectives to Branch Managers. Works to develop strategies with the Branch Managers to meet the goals and objectives of the individual branches.
  • Prepares short- and long-range business plans; prepares income statements and budgets for region and individual branches.

Develops Strong Culture within Region, in Alignment with the PFCU Desired Culture. Champions and Embeds the PFCU Mission, Vision, and Values.

  • Ensures each Branch Manager promotes a strong culture, in alignment with the PFCU desired culture, that ensures Cast Members are engaged and performing at their highest levels.
  • Is an ambassador and acts as a role model for PFCU’s Values every day in every interaction.

Oversees Branch Operations to Ensure Optimal Performance

  • Evaluates the performance of Branches in the region to ensure that they are meeting goals and Branch operations are in compliance with all established Credit Union policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Proactively identifies problems and issues in the Branches and develops solutions for improved efficiencies. Encourages managers to be proactive problem solvers and works with managers to successfully implement solutions.
  • Reviews necessary reports and analyzes the performance of Branches. Identifies needed improvements and solutions, implements changes as needed.
  • Reviews monthly financial statements for each Branch, consults with Branch Managers regarding variances and submits written reports on each Branch to the executive team when necessary.
  • Manages the budgeting process and ongoing budget compliance within the region; consults with branch management with respect to planning and monitoring of variances.
  • Analyzes market conditions in certain regions to identify opportunities for new products or services.
  • Maintains a current understanding of the physical condition and market position of every Branch within the region, as well as the state of member relations, sales performance, loan quality, and employee performance and other key success metrics.
  • Ensures delivery of high-quality Member Service in all aspects of sales and operational activities of the region’s branches.
  • As a part of leading exceptional member experience, follows up and resolves member service breaks and seeks to define root cause for further improvement. Constantly looking for improvements in the experiences of our members.
  • Oversees the branch audit processes. Review results, implements corrective actions, and responds in written form to senior management and Internal Audit.

Business Development Responsibilities

  • Establishes strategic business relationships with TWDC, local business, community, and other industry leaders.
  • Attends and represents the Credit Union at industry events.
  • Represents the Credit Union's interests to local and state governments and trade associations that could influence business affairs within the region.

Education Level: High School or GED (Required) and Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 10+ Years
Language Skills: Spanish (Preferred)

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations, Etc.
Consumer Loan Underwriter (Preferred)

Other Training, Technical Skills or Knowledge
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Required)
Proficient at reading and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and other financial documents (Required)

Specific Experience Required

  • Ten years of experience in the financial industry with a preference for Credit Unions is required.
  • Seven years of experience in Leadership is required.
  • Five years of experience in Sales is preferred.

Interactions
This role has extensive contact with all PFCU departments as resources to assist in resolving Member issues. Daily contact with Branch Leadership and potential interaction daily with the Sponsor.

Business/Work Environment
This position requires work outside of a typical business week, including weekends, and consisting of hours outside of an 8 - 5 schedule. Majority of time is spent in Branches, interacting with all levels of management, cast members, and community.

Physical Demands & Environmental/Working Conditions
Ability to move from Branch location to Branch location throughout the workday. Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together. Verbal communication where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly. Ability to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Ability to work and focus on a semi-noisy environment. Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery. Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally.
