Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Buyer to support the Headwear Department. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of headwear construction, fabric applications, and product development processes. This role requires excellent presentation and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and close collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure successful product launches.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of headwear products (like headband and hat) from concept to production.

  • Provide creative input on product design, materials, fabric applications, embellishments, and construction techniques.

  • Create and maintain Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure accurate system updates.

  • Manage sample development, including requesting, tracking, reviewing, and providing feedback on samples.

  • Follow up on production orders to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

  • Coordinate shipment schedules and monitor order status to meet timelines.

  • Investigate and resolve product quality issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Prepare and deliver product presentations, line reviews, and development updates to management and cross-functional teams.

  • Work closely with global vendors and partners to ensure product development milestones are achieved.

  • Collaborate with Planning, Location, Visual Merchandising (VM), Creative, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to align product strategies and launch plans.

  • Ensure all products meet brand standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in headwear or Softline product development, sourcing, or merchandising.

  • Strong understanding of various headwear constructions, fabrics, trims, and material applications.

  • Creative mindset with a passion for product innovation and trend awareness.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.

  • Experience working with overseas vendors and suppliers.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
