Through innovative storytelling and a culture of collaboration, Hong Kong Disneyland's Entertainment team creates, produces, and delivers remarkable and engaging entertainment experiences. The Technical Manager leads technical production efforts related to the development and sustainment of live entertainment shows and product offerings, including parades, stage shows, and special events.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide essential support to the Technical Producer/Senior Technical Director by overseeing the coordination and planning of technical project elements
Assist in creating detailed schedules and managing resources to meet project timelines.
Facilitate communication between various technical disciplines, including audio, visual, lighting, and show control, to ensure cohesive project execution
Collaborate with the Facility Service team to ensure that all technical systems are aligned with venue infrastructure and operational requirements
Collaborate with the creative team to incorporate technical solutions that enhance storytelling and audience experience
Monitor technical budgets, ensuring technical costs stay within allocated resources and alerting leadership to any discrepancies
Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, overseeing equipment procurement, delivery, and installation
Work closely with the Design Hazards and Hazards Analysis (DAHA) team to develop and deliver all required safety documents
Ensure all technical documentation, inventory tracking, and project milestone reports are updated and properly maintained
Oversee the troubleshooting of technical issues during production setup and live performances, ensuring swift resolution to minimize disruptions
Ensure adherence to Disney’s safety protocols and compliance standards during all technical operations and installations
Job Requirements:
High Diploma holder or above in related discipline
8 years of experience in an entertainment technical environment, minimum 5 years leadership experience in one of the following disciplines: Audio, Lighting, Video, Rigging, Scenic-construction, Show-control
Proficiency in computer skills (e.g. Microsoft word, excel and powerpoint, AutoCAD/SketchUp etc.)
Fluent spoken and written skills in English and Chinese
