Job Summary:

This role is involved in high-level park & resorts development strategy which required to work closely with senior management to drive the development initiatives in order to achieve the targeted business goals. The incumbent leads and represents Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Operations in the process of new capital projects, expansions, new products and experience, master planning and re-concept, in partnership with all Lines of Business (LOB) on both local and segment level.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be the Operations representative in planning and concept development meetings for the new capital projects and re-concepts program for the park and hotels or other new products launch. Provide advice and support on the feasibility study and manage the requirements from different parties to make sure they align with business objectives. Analysis related to feasibility, operating requirements, financial impact, environmental impacts, political issues, technical & local legal compliances, funding and resources planning, development issues and any other key strategic project related issues.
  • Communicate and liaise with Line of Businesses of Operations to establish development scope and Operating & Maintenance implications, coordinate and incorporate the comments during the concept and design phase.
  • Participate in the design review process, evaluate options and formulate design solutions to suit future operations and maintenance needs.
  • Manage the construction phase and coordinate closely with Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) and Facility Services on the construction issues, communicate those issues with all Operations LOBs, make sure the smooth execution of the construction works with quality, safety, within budget and compliance with company’s requirements.
  • Identify risks and business opportunities, provide market intelligence, and deliver technical and commercial input to guide strategic decisions. Coordinate closely with WDI and IFP during construction to resolve issues, communicate updates to Operations Lines of Business, and ensure smooth execution within quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Project Management, Travel & Tourism Management, Hotel Management, or other business‑related disciplines. Exposure to architecture, engineering, or construction is a plus but not essential.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in operations development, business planning, or project management, preferably within large‑scale or matrixed organizations. Candidates with less experience may be considered for lower grade positions.
  • Working knowledge of Master Site Planning concepts, including temporary and permanent change‑of‑use considerations, with the ability to assess business, operational, and guest‑experience implications.
  • Proven project management and governance capability, including scope definition, coordination across functions, issue resolution, and schedule management.
  • Ability to review and interpret concepts, proposals, and design materials from a business, operational, and feasibility perspective, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and collaboration skills, with the confidence and professionalism to work effectively across teams and organizational levels.
  • Good verbal and written skills in both English and Chinese, including solid presentation and communication skills.
