The Manager, Safety Services is responsible for leading a team of safety professionals to take on a proactive role to plan, advise, coordinate and work with Worldwide Safety and all Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) Line of Businesses (LOBs) on all matters related to occupational safety and health, food safety, fire safety, attractions safety, Guest safety, and projects safety aspects for enhancing the HKDL's safety performance and governance in the resort operations business.
Responsibilities:
Develop the vision, goals, and objectives for site risk management and overall safety performance, ensuring alignment with Worldwide Safety global strategies and initiatives through a comprehensive Safety Management System.
Lead the development and implementation of the Resort's safety management system, policies, programs, and procedures.
Conduct job and Guest area safety risk analyses including accessibility and develop safe work practices and workplace safety & guidelines.
Oversee the Safety Services Team, focusing on their training, development, and performance to create a productive work environment that aligns roles with individual skills and motivations.
Partner with Line of Business leaders, Safety Advocates, trainers, engineers, and project managers to provide expert guidance on risk evaluation, safety program development, and performance management.
Maintain compliance with occupational health and safety regulations by managing site-specific hazard surveys, risk assessments, safety inspections, and the development of training programs to enhance safety engagement among all Cast Members.
Ensure effective communication with stakeholders to provide updates, share insights, and gather feedback on safety performance.
Participate in the development of global safety and design standards across the Disney Experiences Segment.
Maintain a close liaison with Labour Department on informational and regulatory updates and any necessary follow ups to work injury cases.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Engineering related disciplines or related discipline
12 years of working experiences, with managerial experience is preferable.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is preferable.
Thorough knowledge with the regulatory and industry safety requirements and standards.
Experience in Safety Management System implementation, development and application of safety standards and risk control programs.
Registered Safety Officer is preferable.
