The Walt Disney Company offers an internship in Lisbon as a Programming Intern starting in October.
The Programming Intern will be learning how to perform several tasks essentials to the success of our channels such as:
Support on metadata management of all channels (insert on software all information related to our series catalogue);
Learn how to follow the technical issues of the Programming department and its resolution with international equipment;
Support in the construction of programming grids of the various channels, using their own software;
Receiving synopsis translations of broadcasted programs by channels;
Follow the running series, in origin countries, football games and other televised events;
Know the competition premieres in Portugal and in other countries.
Prepare the monthly highlights and the monthly premiere list,
Make a weekly calendar of the main premieres and events of the competition
The skills we are looking for are:
High level of pro-activity and ability to work under pressure.
Interest and a taste for learning in general and in particular about Television;
Proactive, team-player, dynamic, motivated, versatile, responsible and with strong attention to detail;
Very good in use of MS Excel and others technical skills
The necessary qualifications of the position will be:
Graduated in Communications, Humanities or Media studies (other Social and technical studies may be considered) [It is essential to have completed the studies and no more than 2 years have elapsed since the completion of it]
Portuguese speaker and must be fluent in English.
We offer a 1 year internship program starting in October.
