About the Role & Team

A 12-month contract opportunity to join our Loss and Prevention team for Disney Store EMEA. As part of the business risk function, support the ongoing management of internal, external and any strategic risk mitigation throughout EMEA. Be responsible for providing exceptional service to Disney guests and to internal partners through technical expertise in inventory management and payment risk.

As part of the inventory and payment team the Analyst will support the retail lifecycle for both merchandise (inventory) and payments (counter fraud) to deliver profit optimisation across both areas.

This role can be based remotely, with 2 days minimum per month in our Hammersmith office.

What You Will Do

  • Advise on and resolve technical issues/cases/matters across inventory risk and payment risk

  • Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner to ensure high standards of Guest experience for internal stakeholders and Disney Guests

  • Support Senior Business Risk Analyst with the delivery of KPIs and relevant month and year end reporting which clearly show the financial picture for all risks across stock and payments

  • Work with the field team and the Senior Business Risk Analyst to assess the most suitable action required once fraudulent activity has been identified to minimise further losses to the business and document for reporting purposes

  • Track and report on frequent Guests and any addresses that have been flagged as having been involved in fraudulent activity, implementing necessary processes to ensure risk is mitigated

  • Investigate incidents of stock and payment risk, liaising with inventory accounting and sales audit to provide The Disney Store with an accurate stock and payment result recommending remedial action to be taken where necessary

  • Support the task to identify Stores, locations, and internal resource in DCP requiring further action and/or investigation. Assess the initial findings and prepare detailed case notes for the Business Risk Manager where required

  • Monitor all activity by maintaining a status report on all investigations (stock and payment) indicating cases/issues that are pending, concluded (noting results), etc.

  • Support with the preparation of summary reports and other ad hoc projects and enquiries, such as shrink initiative, BRC Retail Crime Survey, return on investment analysis etc.

  • Assess and analyse internal processes and provide recommendations to reduce shrinkage exposure and improve Guest Service

  • Deliver reporting and analysis requirements to enable end of month/year reports, ensuring they are accurate, timely and meet the standards set by auditors and SOX compliance requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience of building effective relationships and managing stakeholders within a large, multi-national, matrix organisation

  • Working knowledge of business retail systems including but not exclusive to – IP, EMS, Mozart, Unix, Risk Guardian, Zendesk, Microstrategy, EPOS trend reporting etc, essential

  • Proven experience within an accounting, finance or similar analytical role, essential

  • Inventory accounting experience

  • Proven experience working within a consumer products or retail environment

  • Previous experience and knowledge of working in the media, entertainment, or retail industries
