Are you a dynamic creative who can see an idea through from its embryonic state to a full blown, multi-faceted campaign that will stop audiences in their tracks? An opportunity has become available to bring your vision to National Geographic as a Creative Manager!

We are looking for someone who thrives in a context where they are asked to guide people on the creative journey - from social, to talent, to digital designers, to freelance writers and photographers and our own internal team of project and account managers.

As a Creative Manager within the National Geographic CreativeWorks team, you’ll be an inspiring force for creative work across our client base! This position will have a particular focus on executing campaign assets and supporting new business to grow Ad Sales revenue (pre-sale), and managing your own campaigns. The Creative Manager will report to the National Geographic Creative Director.

This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week.

What You Will Do

  • Conceptualise and develop campaign ideas for customized Ad Sales campaigns.
  • Support and lead on pitches and be able to present your work in a clear, inspiring and engaging manner to clients and internal stakeholders, Explorers, photographers and production partners.
  • Craft clear, simple, inspiring pitch decks that help sell your idea.
  • Craft creative assets into their optimal state, visually and in terms of communication.
  • Write and conceptualize digital and social media assets.
  • Assist and brief freelance and contract workers of the creative team should the business require them.
  • Remain up-to-date with the latest tech, social and digital innovations and the capabilities of social platforms, to be ready to apply them in your work when the opportunity arises.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Knowledge of the branded content landscape.
  • Experience in developing in-depth understanding of client brands, marketing strategies and industry.
  • Experience in successfully pitching ideas both internally and externally efficiently, visually, and inspiringly.
  • Professional experience within a Creative role – ideally within digital/social/media.
  • Proven track record in working independently, supervising multiple partners and stakeholders in delivering your creative vision.
  • Expertise in writing at the highest level across all touchpoints – from banners, to social copy, IG reel scripts to digital articles.
