This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).
We are looking for a dynamic Sports and Brand PR Manager to join the Disney+ Brand team, reporting into the Senior Brand PR Manager. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about both sport and entertainment, to complement our strategy of bringing the two together in close alignment, with a strong understanding of how to drive earned media visibility across multiple markets.
You will lead publicity efforts for Disney+’s sports rights portfolio, including the UEFA Women’s Champions League (EMEA) and La Liga (UK & Ireland), while also playing a role in Disney+ product and brand publicity across the region. This position requires someone who can confidently shift between sports narrative building, brand storytelling, and platform/product campaigns, ensuring our proposition remains front-of-mind across all key audiences.
On occasion, this role will support wider brand activations, including seasonal tentpoles and content-led campaigns from our general entertainment slate (e.g. Rivals, Only Murders in the Building, The Bear, Percy Jackson, Alien: Earth).

Disney+ marketing, programming, social, communications teams (US, UK, EMEA)

The Opportunity & Responsibilities:
Sports PR Leadership
Devise and execute a season-long publicity strategy for the UWCL and La Liga tournaments on Disney+.
Build and maintain relationships with UEFA, sports clubs, players, and the ESPN punditry and commentary roster across EMEA.
Create culturally relevant, newsworthy earned campaigns that drive fan engagement and maximise editorial impact.
Act as the central liaison for sports PR across EMEA markets, developing annual regional publicity strategy which can be localized for each of our markets, offering counsel, toolkits, frameworks and campaign leadership.
Coordinate centralized processes and efficient information flow between UEFA, markets, rights partners, internal stakeholders and broadcast talent.
Support markets in identifying locally relevant ESPN talent opportunities and on-the-ground media activations.
Work in close alignment with regional social and influencer team to ensure integration of all activity.
Brand & Product Publicity
Support UK publicity for Disney+ brand and platform campaigns, acting as the day-to-day liaison for product and brand comms across EMEA.
Support platform narrative storytelling, including management of pricing/tier launches, content positioning, user experience updates and market expansion.
Work across consumer tech, entertainment, lifestyle, culture and TV media to keep Disney+ front of mind year-round.
Plan and deliver experiential media events, screenings, press briefings, content capture days and seasonal showcase moments.
Manage UK execution while supporting EMEA regional rollout, ensuring alignment within a globally matrixed organisation.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with Disney+ product, brand strategy, consumer marketing, commercial planning, and insights teams to ensure sports and brand PR campaigns support broader platform, brand, and growth priorities.
Partner with ESPN teams, Disney+ marketing, social, programming, and corporate comms to deliver cohesive, integrated campaign approaches across owned, earned and social channels.
Collaborate with market-level PR leads across EMEA to support localisation, sharing toolkits, narrative frameworks and creative direction.
Identify opportunities to bridge sports, entertainment, brand and platform messaging within seasonal or cultural campaign moments.
Build strong internal relationships with cross-functional leads to ensure PR is positioned and understood as a strategic driver of brand visibility and audience engagement.
Manage complex stakeholder communications across a matrixed organisation, ensuring clarity, alignment, smooth workflows and issue resolution.
Crisis & Reputation
Provide strategic PR counsel on reputation-sensitive or reactive issues relating to sports talent, brand narrative, platform changes, or partner stakeholders.
Work in partnership with corporate communications, legal, and brand leadership to ensure messaging is consistent, measured, and aligned across regions and partners.
Lead or contribute to reactive planning, scenario responses, and key messaging development, including briefing notes, talking points, Q&As, media statements and executive updates.
Advise EMEA market teams during high-pressure or fast-moving situations, ensuring markets have the guidance and tools needed to respond effectively.
The Experience We Require From You:
- Proven experience in sports PR, brand/product communications or entertainment publicity within a broadcaster, streaming platform, sports property or agency environment.
- Strong network of sports, entertainment and consumer media contacts in the UK.
- Experience working with high-profile talent, running junkets, press conferences, match-day media and talent media schedules.
- Expertise planning and delivering large-scale media/experiential events, including full project and budget ownership.
- Ability to develop strategic campaign frameworks, adapt them regionally, and lead multi-market rollouts.
- Creative thinker who proactively brings new formats, new angles, and new editorial opportunities.
- Confident managing multiple simultaneous workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience setting KPIs, evaluating results and applying learnings to future campaigns.
