About the Role & Team

We are looking for an experienced Finance Analyst to make a meaningful impact and be part of our CS Physical and Localisation team here at Disney on an initial 6 month Fixed-Term contract!

Our CS Physical and Localisation team is responsible for the sales, distribution and marketing of up to 20 cinematic new releases per year in the physical home entertainment category along with the large library slate across Disney and 20th Century brands and 3rd party distribution deals. In addition, the team is responsible for FP&A activity in relation to the EMEA costs for localisation. 

Please note: This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home.

What You Will Do

As a Finance Analyst within our CS Physical & Localisation team, the successful candidate will assist in delivering effective, timely and accurate forecast and close process across EMEA with a focus on cost consolidation. This role requires effective collaboration with financial and non-financial business partners, working with key budget holders as needed to provide meaningful insights from data.

Areas of Responsibility

Delivery-

  • Take responsibility for accurate tracking of localisation costs (dubbing, voiceover and subtitling) across all LOBs for all financial planning cycles, questioning variance drivers for line manager review to ensure effective financial administration for localisation costs

  • Assist with effective delivery of forecasting and budgeting processes to support CS- Physical

  • Review specific cost centres to identify issues, opportunities and possible solutions and flag them to senior colleagues or business managers as appropriate

  • Generate reports using finance and accounting systems to provide accurate data for use by colleagues/the business

  • Analyse reporting data to identify themes and trends and highlight these to relevant business managers together with a view on the wider possible implications

Business partnering-

  • Provide financial support to multiple budget owners across multiple geographies, ensuring all budgeting, forecasting and financial processing is delivered on time and to high quality standards

  • Work directly with business managers to provide basic financial support and reporting, advising them of trends and issues accordingly

  • Assist more senior colleagues in preparing presentations to communicate clear financial messages to the business

  • Share knowledge effectively across the function to facilitate good financial management

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree level essential and Accounting qualification (may be part qualified) e.g. ACCA, CIMA

  • Demonstrable track record of providing commercial support to a business partner that’s insightful, timely and responsive

  • Experience of supporting commercial management to a high standard and working with the Regional Finance and Commercial head office

  • Highly proficient in spreadsheets, MS Office, Power BI and financial software application.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Ability to produce clear and insightful analysis that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail.

  • Numerate and analytical with a desire to think through and resolve problems.
