The Direct To Consumer (DTC) finance team are accountable for the financial management of Disney+ in EMEA, The Walt Disney Company’s DTC entertainment service, which is available in 70 markets.
We have a great opportunity for an existing Finance Manager who has a strong media background and excellent stakeholder management skills, to join us.
The role sits in our Regional and UK DTC finance team and supports local and global content cost lines.
This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).
What You Will Do
- Review and consolidate EMEA local content spend for financial planning cycles (Close, Forecast & Annual Operating plan)
- Prepare US local content submissions
- Business support for UK and regional acquisition and programming teams
- Track global content slate and costs
- Partner with the programming team to appraise the localisation strategy by analysing KPIs and return on investment
- Finance representative in cross-function process mapping
- Develop close relationships with the wider EMEA Finance team, with a ‘one team’ approach and build a network across lines of business, markets, Burbank and controllership, sharing resources and knowledge
- Adopt a flexible approach to provide ad hoc finance support to the wider D+ finance and business teams
Required Qualifications & Skills
- ACA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent qualification
- Significant experience in business partnering, financial planning and analysis
- Comfortable working with large volumes of data, preparing insightful reporting and analysis to support management decision-making
- Experience in presentations will be useful
- Working in an equivalent role within the Media sector is a big plus
- Working with financial IT systems, SAP/BW, Cognos Reporting and excellent proven Excel skills
