About the Role & Team
This role encompasses the operational responsibility for reporting on all aspects of the localization and the creation of digital assets for ABC, FX and 3rd Party Acquisitions content for Disney’s linear channels with subsequent exploitation by Disney’s streaming services. The candidate may also have direct responsibility for the ordering and tracking of titles for specific markets.
The Supervisor should have excellent project management skills and be able to demonstrate attention to detail and organisational ability; in addition, relevant experience of content localization, production, mastering and digital distribution is desirable.
This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).
What You Will Do
- Oversee the localization of titles across multiple territories for a specific set of orders within the Content Localization and Management group.
- Where required, update and maintain records to reflect the current delivery status of materials, and keep relevant LOBs informed (Local Programming Teams, Sales Teams, Content Distribution Team, Client Services team, Content Ops teams etc).
- Maintain effective communication with senior stakeholders, including our wider Burbank team, so that everyone is updated with progress on orders.
- Monitor and inform on key issues as they arise, promptly alert leadership to any delays or concerns, propose potential solutions to identified problems, and flag any blockers to expected delivery dates on time.
- Track costs and review invoices/Vendor Submission Forms for accuracy.
- Seek to improve processes where opportunities arise, showing a problem-solving and proactive approach and collaborating with peers and staff to assess/resolve complexities and challenges,
- Work closely with the team and vendors to track and provide metrics and reports and publish monthly statistics
- Resolve metadata integrity issues across stakeholders.
- Provide support to the Team Manager, including coaching the team, approving orders, and running internal team meetings.
- Train and support new starters within the department putting together relevant training documentation and being the first point of contact for the coordinators in the team on day-to-day issues.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Background or experience in a production/operations role, preferably in a creative and/or technical environment
- Experience in planning/managing projects with a large volume of assets
- Knowledge of various video and audio file formats (able to understand Technical Specifications)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, GoogleSheets and Smartsheet in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in subtitling localization for media
- Experience in audio dubbing.
- Knowledge of Jira and Coupa or SAP
- Strong presentation skills.
