An exciting opportunity has become available for you to help Disney shape the future of how we plan media! Join Disney now as a Media Supervisor for the EMEA & UK region as part of our integrated media function team!  

This team is a central unit within Disney that manages the relationship with our media agency – Publicis - ensuring delivery of media investment plans, delivery of accurate actionable landscape insights, analysis of our company wide investment by media channel and strives to deliver greater value through annual investment deals with media owners. 

The supervisor of media will support the Senior Manager identifying and implementing media approaches across the business and region that will drive efficiencies and incremental value to TWDC. The team will work closely with Studio Content Research on media investment analysis and research into the wider media market landscape and is required to analyse comprehensive data sets and draw out crucial insights helping feed into strategic implications of such insights. 

The role and responsibilities

  • Reporting into the Senior Manager, Media and Advertising EMEA & UK
  • Be the source of truth on our media investment by country by line of business by channel
  • Working with the Senior Manager to pair large amounts of internal data on media spend with a robust understanding of the evolving media landscape in each market
  • Identify trends, risks and opportunities in media spend and/or media approach
  • Help to facilitate transparency and best practice across the company: Socialise, share and implement long term media deal/buy proposals ensuring the value add is understood and maximized across the business
  • Build and maintain relationships with media owners
  • Partner with the Senior Media Manager and the Digital team to integrate Digital analysis and considerations into holistic media approach
  • Seek continuous improvements and efficiencies in our media approach and processes
  • Work with Senior Manager to identify, develop and oversee a streamlined but clear and concise reporting process for sharing media plans, countdown summaries and data cuts for senior management in Burbank and regional / London
  • Understand media mixes by line of business and by market and how that may evolve over time
  • Support the Senior Media Manager in consulting with brand teams providing a clear rationale for any proposed approaches to a campaign.
  • Responsibility for ongoing management and development of an intern

The experience we require from you

  • Experience in leveraging quantitative and analytical skills to resolve strategic problems, in developing new thinking and insights in addressing problems
  • Thorough understanding of the media environment across EMEA
  • Experience working withing a media agency
  • Demonstrable track record of delivery and an ability to lead, plan and execute projects to an extremely high standard and to demanding deadlines
  • Experience in producing clear and insightful presentations that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of the organization
