Position Summary
The Production Workflow Manager will be the primary point of contact for your Facility Production users with regard to Production workflows and implementation. The PWM will act as the point of contact for user bases regarding production workflow best practices, schedule and targets for production customization, internal tools, configuration and implementation. The PWM will prioritize requests and tickets and work with other sites PWMs, Engineering team, Technology Project Manager and the Production Tools Product Owner to implement changes according to global priorities.
What You’ll Do:
Scheduling & Configuration Management
Working with Productions (Producers, PM’s, LPs, Coordinators, PA’s), Supervisors, Tech and Artists on overall best practices on production workflows and internal production tool configurations.
Partner closely with the other site specific PWM’s for global production workflows and strategic tool development
In close partnership with the Senior Production Workflow Manager, the PWM will negotiate priorities for implementation for facility users
Help develop internal training sessions, manage and maintain documentation for production workflows for the facility users
Help with organization and development for internal tools directed through Production Tools for productions
Organize and run workflow meetings sharing updates and walkthroughs with relevant parties
Create and work with other site PWM’s and Sr PWM on all project requirements/user stories in Jira, communicate context and priority to Tech PM for scoping and implementation
Manage all relevant party communication between other ILM sites and with productions
Communicate overall targets, priorities and any changes to entire team and relevant parties
Work with Tech PM and Production Tools Product Owner to ensure all requests are clearly understood, the scope is clear and the requirements are clear between Production and Tech
Anticipate and communicate issues with potential solutions or dependencies
Establish internal communication hierarchies, systems/templates for targets and priorities- ensures full buy in and consistency with all relevant parties
Production Partner Communication
Primary point of contact for Production and Artist users with regard to Shotgrid, Cantina and other production related tools within your facility
Communicate regularly between other PWMs
Act as point of contact to production regarding workflow releases, updates, walkthroughs, requirements, schedules and targets
Communicate weekly or more regularly, as necessary, progress report to relevant teams.
What We’re Looking For:
Film or related field or equivalent work experience required
Proven work experience in production to include strong working knowledge of Visual Effects techniques and terminology
Experience working with Shotgrid including creating pages and setting up filters
Strong scheduling experience required
Must possess very strong organizational and communication skills and be able to handle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner while meeting deadlines
Proficiency in Macs/PCs, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of UNIX required. Familiarity with Google Suite
Ability to work on a computer/keyboard for long periods of time
Experience on set with physical production workflows is a plus
This role is Hybrid, which means the employee will be required to work a minimum of 2 days on-site per week at a Company designated location, and occasionally from home.
