About the Role & Team

We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to make a meaningful impact and be part of our Disney Consumer Products, EMEA Softlines & Publishing Finance team!

As part of the Regional Disney Consumer Products (DCP) EMEA Softlines & Publishing Finance team, this role plays a critical position in partnering with Category and Commercial teams to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making.

The Senior Finance Analyst is a trusted business partner, responsible for owning key aspects of financial planning, delivering high-quality insights, and challenging the business through robust analysis and commercial acumen.

Please note: This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either Monday or Friday working from home.

What You Will Do

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Take ownership of the quarterly forecast, close, and AOP processes, ensuring outputs are accurate, insightful, and delivered to tight deadlines

  • Lead the preparation and validation of planning templates, ensuring consistency and integrity of financial data

  • Review, challenge, and validate forecasts, ensuring accurate system uploads

  • Maintain and enhance key reporting tools used by Regional and Local Finance teams

  • Deliver clear, insightful variance analysis versus prior periods, highlighting key drivers across brands, retailers, markets, and categories

  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to support performance delivery

  • Track and analyse licensee true-ups/downs following each quarter close

  • Prepare schedules, presentations, and supporting analysis for planning cycles

  • Partner with Revenue Accounting to manage postings and proactively flag issues

  • Perform Guarantee Shortfall analysis in line with business requirements

  • Leverage core systems (e.g. SRR, LRS, Adaptive) and data tools (e.g. Snowflake/SQL) to produce robust reporting and insights

Commercial Support

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with Category teams, acting as a key point of contact for financial insight and challenge

  • Support and influence key commercial decisions, including partner negotiations, contract renewals, and business planning

  • Deliver forward-looking analysis to identify growth opportunities and optimise business performance

  • Provide ad hoc, high-impact analysis in response to evolving business needs

Team

  • Support and oversee the team intern, ensuring effective prioritisation and development

  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team culture by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and valuing diverse perspectives

Training and Professional Development

  • Take ownership of personal development through regular career conversations and use of available learning resources

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, reporting, and efficiency (including leveraging data tools and AI where appropriate)

  • Actively contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualified Accountant as well as Degree-qualified (or equivalent)

  • Strong excel skills and preferably experience of SQL/Tableau/Power BI

  • Experience within retail/media industry preferred

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality financial and commercial support to stakeholders

  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail

  • Results-oriented approach with a focus on delivering outcomes

  • Ability to build relationships and contribute to a collaborative “one team” culture
