Job Summary:

This position requires you to be based in our Hammersmith offices 4 days a week. 

An opportunity has become available for a Senior Commercial Manager - Audience Measurement and Insights to join the Disney Audience Research and Measurement team.

In this role, you would lead the commercial research, insight and measurement across the Disney Advertising and Brand Partnerships portfolio which includes Disney+ Ad Tier as well as the spectrum of Disney brands: Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, ESPN and National Geographic. 

Working in partnership with the sales teams, this role leads the provision of a wide range of insights from 3rd and 1st party data and measurement solutions, as well as primary research projects and innovative thought leadership initiatives to support and drive commercial revenues.

The primary area of responsibility for this role will be focused on the implementation and development of the Disney+ Ad Tier measurement and data strategy roadmap in EMEA, championing the solutions to our advertising partners.  The role will evolve alongside the platform and our advertising offering. Therefore, we are seeking a flexible, creative self-starter who is excited to contribute to the evolution of both local and global leading data and measurement solutions for our clients.

The role and responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial research, insights and measurement team across Disney Advertising

  • Optimise the use of the wide range of 1st and 3rd party sources to create compelling narrative

  • Manage the development of 1st party data, measurement, and effectiveness solutions to champion the effectiveness of Disney+ to for our advertising partners.

  • Expert in understanding the CTV measurement landscape.

  • Drive key thought leadership initiatives on the streaming industry and the Disney+ advertising offering, overseeing them from concept to presentation.

  • Lead relationships with established vendors and identify new entrants which could benefit the business.

  • Work in partnership with Disney Advertising team to deliver commercially driven insights and measurement solutions across advertiser categories.

  • Oversee research support from team, on-going review of processes and proactive innovation of approaches and solutions provided. 

  • Partner with the wider analytics, product, and research teams in the UK and Globally ensuring that all relevant tools and insights are leveraged for commercial advantage.

The experience we require from you

  • Management experience in a commercial research team in a TV, SVOD or digital media company

  • Highly experienced in a range of advertising effectiveness approaches (R&F, brand lift, attribution)

  • Solid understanding/experience of cross-media measurement (Linear and Digital)

  • In depth understanding of the commercial and trading landscape (TV, VOD, CTV, Digital)

  • Capable of creating a narrative with actionable recommendations with commercial relevance

  • Confident and comfortable in presenting research findings to senior-level stakeholders

  • Knowledge and experience of broad industry tools e.g. TGI, GWI, BARB

  • Manages the needs of diverse stakeholders within a matrix, fast paced organisation
