About the Role:

The SEO Specialist/Supervisor plays a pivotal role in driving organic traffic and enhancing the visibility of Disney Store's six e-commerce websites. Collaborating closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and agency partners, this role leads day-to-day SEO operations, including technical support, on-site optimization, and performance tracking. By embedding SEO best practices across content, product, and site development initiatives, the SEO Specialist/Supervisor contributes to long-term organic growth and ensures Disney's digital presence aligns with its brand tone and customer-focused values.

This is a 12-month, fixed-term contract role, based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home.

What You Will Do:

  • As an SEO Specialist/Supervisor, you will be responsible for executing and managing SEO strategies that align with Disney's overarching goals. This role requires a skilled, independent worker who can effectively collaborate across teams and solve complex problems to deliver impactful results.
  • Lead day-to-day SEO operations, including technical, on-page, and content optimization.
  • Develop and implement long-term SEO strategies in collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Manage metadata implementation, internal linking improvements, and on-site content optimization requests while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with SEO agencies to align on strategic priorities, monitor performance milestones, and brief optimization requests.
  • Coordinate SEO requirements across teams including Site Merchandising, Product Development, and Brand Marketing.
  • Analyze and report on organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion performance.
  • Support technical projects such as site migrations, URL structure updates, and schema markup implementation.
  • Monitor emerging trends in AI-driven search experiences and evaluate their impact on site visibility.
  • Collaborate with the Paid Media team to develop a holistic 'One Search' strategy optimizing Organic and Paid Search channels.
  • Prepare and present monthly performance summaries and recommendations to marketing leadership.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency in technical SEO, including site architecture, page speed optimization, and structured data.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools (directly with, or similar tools); Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Analytics and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the business.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong background in SEO, preferably within e-commerce.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Google Analytics and Google Ads.
  • Experience optimizing websites in multiple languages.
  • Previous Disney experience or familiarity with Disney's global businesses.
