Job Summary:

National Geography Wild is hiring a Programming Coordinator to support scheduling and media planning for the French‑speaking territories. You will collaborate daily with teams in Madrid and London to ensure accurate schedules, timely localizations, and smooth on‑air delivery across the region.

This is a fixed-term position for 6 months.
 

Key responsibilities:
• Manage National Geography Wild programming and media planning for French‑speaking territories, meeting monthly and daily deadlines.
• Screen upcoming programs and validate rights/availability; adjust the National Geography Wild PEU schedule to remove content without rights or localization for these markets.
• Enter monthly transmissions dates and maintain schedules in VPS and WON (What’s On).
• Compile original and localized synopses and titles and input them into the system.
• Remove premieres that are not yet localized for French‑speaking territories.
• Create and release monthly schedules and highlights; prepare programming presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Create and deliver daily playout logs (schedules/playlists) through WON.
• Approve promo campaigns in Mediator, ensuring on‑air elements and key messaging align with plan and the UK team’s promo.
• Provide transmission reports when required (as‑run, EPGs, promo rotations).
• Coordinate with operations, technical and regional teams (Transmission, Operations, Graphics, Creative Services) to ensure a smooth broadcast and delivery of the channel.
 

Skills and attributes:


• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to spot issues early and solve problems effectively.
• Clear, timely communication to ensure schedules meet department requirements and timings.

Experience and requirements
• Fluency in French (mandatory).
• Experience in programming and/or media planning/presentation scheduling.
• Knowledge of factual TV a plus.
• Experience with WON (What’s On), VPS and Mediator a plus.
