Job Summary:
Corporate Strategy & Business Development (CSBD) is responsible for developing strategies to drive long-term growth for the company. CSBD team works closely with the leaders of all businesses to drive and support strategy development and execution.
As part of the Corporate Strategy & Business Development team, the role will aim to provide a good understanding of key market trends & consumer behaviours, their attitudes & preferences, and leverage relevant data & insights to work with business teams and form appropriate business strategies or answer the critical strategic questions. We seek a candidate with experience at management consulting firms, as well as in-house strategy/business insight role at FMCG, consumer tech, or media & entertainment companies. This role requires strong problem solving and analytical skills, expertise in consumer research, excellent teamwork, effective communication in both English and Japanese, as well as the ability to collaborate across a diverse range of stakeholders, including multiple levels of business and functional teams within TWDC.
Responsibilities:
- Develop customized primary research approaches based on business needs
- Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable insights
- Leverage & integrate secondary databases to provide holistic business solutions
- Conduct desktop research to support and provide insights based on business needs
- Formulate strategies/initiatives in collaboration with multiple LOBs
- Work in an ever-changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment
- Prepare and share insights and analytical reports with the relevant stakeholders; provide consumer insights to different business teams
Professional Qualifications and Experiences
- Experience at consulting firms, and in-house strategy/business insights experience in FMCG, consumer tech, or media & entertainment companies
- Insights about Japanese consumers, sensitive to identifying and following M&E market trends preferred
- Bachelor's degree required
- Passion for M&E industry; a content lover
Skills
- Ability to conduct consumer/market research
- Business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills: Power Point Slide, Excel Analysis
- Good in numbers and has an analytical mind
- Communicating with key stakeholders and team members in a credible and confident way
- Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
- Sensitive to cultural nuances
- Fluency in English (Business Writing is important, fluent verbal communication is a plus)
