About the Role:
As an Assistant Manager, Content Acquisition/Business at Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the content strategy for one of the most innovative and far-reaching entertainment companies in the world. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the strategies that keep The Walt Disney Company at the leading edge of entertainment, enabling the greatest storytellers to create memorable experiences for audiences globally.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing analytical and data-driven support for the end-to-end content strategy process. You will work independently with minimal guidance, solving complex problems and offering new perspectives on existing solutions. Your role will involve close collaboration with the Business Development, Content Planning & Acquisition, and Analytics teams. This position is significant as it directly impacts the company's ability to deliver world-class entertainment content. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis, and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Provide analytical and data-driven support for content strategy formulation and execution.
  • Collect and analyze service viewing data and market information from external resources.
  • Gather and analyze procurement slates, and propose selection methods.
  • Manage the overall content budget.
  • Prepare various internal presentation materials, including Greenlight materials.
  • Support the review and formulation of content strategy for live-action and animation originals.
Required Qualifications:
  • Skilled in data analysis and content strategy development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software, especially Excel.
  • Independent worker with effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and numerical aptitude.
  • Business level proficiency in English (TOEIC score of 800 or higher).
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a consulting firm as an analyst.
  • Experience in strategy development.
  • Passionate about entertainment and video content.
