We are now hiring an experienced Business Partner who can bring in HR expertise to serve as a trusted consultant to our business leaders.
Business Partner, People & Culture is reporting into senior business partner based in Tokyo, Japan. As BP supporting some of key LOBs in the region, this individual is responsible for planning and executing various HR programs and initiatives for the client groups through collaborations with both local and regional HR team members and other stakeholders.
As a trusted business partner to our business leaders, this individual is expected to demonstrate his/her in depth expertise in variety of HR topics including talent and organization development, employee relations, change management and DE&I.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with local/regional People & Culture Business Partners and COE partners to effectively roll out LOB specific P&C programs and initiatives including annual salary planning, talent reviews, training nominations, etc.
- Develop and execute organization and talent strategy for client groups.
- Provide support to leaders in making well informed decisions regarding the people and organization.
- Ensure positive employee experiences throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Develop and support employee engagement with business leaders and retain key talent in the group.
- Work with leaders to enhance the succession bench through hiring and development of leadership talent.
- Help leaders in driving organization transformation to build a best-in-class team.
- Manage day-to-day employee relations issues. Partnering with Legal and ER to solve complex ER issues.
- Consolidating and maintaining up to date organization and people data for client groups.
- Monitoring HC and labor costs vis a vis client groups’ budget.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a human resource professional in any areas of organization development, talent acquisitions, talent development, ER, and compensation and benefits. Experience as Business Partner is a plus.
- Working experiences in highly matrixed organization and/or regional roles. Experiences in any of retail, media, entertainment or tech industries a plus.
- Native or highly proficient in spoken and written English and Japanese.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to details.
- Able to gain trust and work effectively across multiple stakeholders.
- Able to identify the best solutions and outcomes for the organization and to balance business partnership and employee advocacy.
- Proactive, self-starter who can deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to change
- Enjoys balancing multiple tasks while keeping priorities straight
- Passion for Disney a plus (i.e. content, consumer products, etc.)
