Role Overview:
You’ll lead APAC-wide commercial planning and analysis, focusing on pricing, partner economics, monetization, and subscriber value modeling. As Head of Commerce, you’ll provide data-driven insights, forecasting, and commercial performance analysis to guide leadership and ensure alignment between commercial outcomes and operational planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver operational insights and commercial recommendations to APAC DTC leadership across distribution partnerships, pricing, and monetization initiatives.
- Identify commercial opportunities and operational efficiencies across distribution, bundles, and billing performance drivers.
- Build and maintain commercial dashboards and performance tracking across partners and markets, collaborating closely with Analytics.
- Support in-quarter commercial trading by identifying risks and opportunities versus plan, recommending actions to drive subscriber and revenue performance.
- Collaborate with Finance and Strategy teams to develop commercial models and scenarios for partnership renewals, pricing options, and revenue planning.
- Lead commercial planning and performance analysis for distribution partnerships, including pricing and revenue modeling, subscriber acquisition, ARPU, churn, billing dynamics, and LTV impacts.
- Partner cross-functionally with Ops, Partnerships, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, Strategy, and global pricing teams to ensure commercial plans align with P&L and market realities.
- Prepare business reviews and recommendations for senior APAC leadership and cross-functional planning cycles.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years in commercial planning, business analysis, pricing, partner economics, or related roles in media, streaming, telco, fintech, or technology sectors.
- Strong experience in commercial modeling, pricing analysis, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Proficiency with financial modeling, Excel, and data visualization tools.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and communicate insights at senior levels.
- Experience working with distribution partners, subscription businesses, or monetization-driven commercial models is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Japanese or Korean a plus.
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with evolving business needs.
Preferred Attributes:
- Familiarity with subscription business models and partner ecosystems in APAC.
- Understanding of billing-related performance drivers and subscription lifecycle economics.
- Experience in commercial planning or business analysis within media, entertainment, or technology environments.
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement skills.
