Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, TWDC (The Walt Disney Company) Japan
The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, is part of TWDC Japan HR leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all recruitment needs for TWDC Japan, as well as the planning and implementation of TA strategies as part of the whole talent and people strategies for TWDC Japan. He/She will directly report to the Director, Talent Acquisition for APAC, dotted to Vice President, HR for TWDC Japan.
Responsibilities
- The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, serves as a strategic leader for the Japan HR team. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a combination of good level of overall functional HR knowledge and employment regulations, deep TA knowledge for the market (industry landscape, talent insights, market trending, best practice etc.), strong business acumen and skilled and personalized stakeholder mgmt.. experience to develop TA strategies that will attract the breadth of talent, internally and externally, required to drive business transformation and success.
- This position requires an individual that can assess market situations as well as identify and implement the appropriate hiring strategies/ solutions. Anticipating trends/ opportunities, making pro-active recommendations, being highly influential and connecting talented people with life changing opportunities with Disney.
- This position also participates on APAC TA leadership committees, sharing best practices, aligning efforts and providing support as needed for the regional HR/TA agenda.
- Develop, implement and integrate all TA related strategies, policies and programs
- Conduct Hiring manager training to ensure we deliver on the trust, quality and promise of the Disney brand to enhance the candidate experience that is unique Disney
- Engage and advocate for diverse talent, establishing new and long term relationships, including reinforce, expand and extend the Disney brand in diverse talent markets as needed
- Develop strategies to source, attract, recruit and select high-quality candidates against defined criteria. Be credible partners, deliver quality results, and ensure excellence in execution.
- BE Talent Advisor, collaborate with Hiring Managers and HRBP to develop a strong aligned understanding of the talent landscape in the market, internal Disney business strategy, department culture, DE&I opportunities, and talent profiles to support and deliver on the talent needs of the business
- Lead, coach, and develop TA team by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and high performance.
- Use innovative sourcing channels to convert hard to find passive talent including social media, resume mining, diversity resources and networking
- Share knowledge, HR trends, and experiences to execute best practices enterprise-wide
- Partner with Recruitment Marketing, TA Technology, People Insights, etc. to continuously identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
Basic Qualifications
- 10 + Years of recruitment experience in in-house or agency, having led a TA function team in Japan is preferred.
- General HR functional knowledge and broad business and financial understanding to human capital implications
- Able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions; ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented
- Able to problem solve both operational and strategic issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach
- Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous priorities
- Resilience to work within a complex organization and find creative solutions
- Willingness to work and integrate with multiple partners
- Strong consulting and client relationship skills
- Proven collaboration skills with the ability to gain consensus through personal influence
- Proven ability to manage conflict and the courage to challenge organizational thinking
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; bilingual English and Japanese
