With the launch of ESPN on Disney+, our ESPN Marketing team has introduced an exciting new role. We are now looking for a Growth Marketing Executive! The Growth Marketing Executive will support the execution of ESPN’s owned, earned and paid marketing activities to grow ESPN’s linear, streaming and digital audiences in Australia and New Zealand.

Please note this role must be willing to work across time-zones, including joining calls outside of normal working hours, often in the morning to connect with our colleagues in the US.

As Growth Marketing Executive for ESPN, your key responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive growth marketing strategies and reporting to drive subscriptions through ESPN’s owned channels (broadcast, website, apps, social, email)

  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop high-impact messaging and visuals that resonate with the target audience and drive action

  • Support the planning and execution of ESPN’s above-the-line and below-the-line marketing campaigns in collaboration with creative and media agencies (to deliver on ESPN on Disney+ and affiliate partner objectives)Work closely with programming and on-air promotions teams to ensure ESPN’s on-air strategy is continuously optimised to broaden the audience and increase viewership on Disney+.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • 4+ years’ experience in a similar growth, digital marketing or subscription-based marketing role, in the entertainment, sports streaming or media industry

  • A fundamental understanding of best-practice across digital and content marketing for customer acquisition

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, tools and technologies, with experience running campaigns on websites, apps, social media and email platforms

  • Ability to develop critical working relationships with key colleagues locally and remotely

  • Strong creative eye with the ability to pull together enticing and informative decks for our partners

  • The ability to think positively and creatively about the way you solve problems
