About the Role
This Assistant Manager, Talent & Growth and HR Business Partner (HRBP) role is a dual role responsible for supporting Talent and Growth, Employee Engagement initiatives and providing business partnering support to select teams at Disney India. The successful candidate must possess skills in learning and development, basic business partnering skills, and be a good team player.
This role reports to the Manager, Talent & Growth, India and has a dotted line reporting to a Senior HR Business Partner.
Responsibilities:
Talent and Growth
- Partner with the India Talent and Growth (T&G) Lead to observe, diagnose, consult, plan and implement needed Learning & Development (L&D), Talent, Organisational Development (OD) and Inclusion related local initiatives
- Independently lead and manage assigned T&G projects from exploration, development, delivery and results assessment stages using sound and organized project management tools and techniques
- Collaborate with project team members within the T&G/HR team and external vendors/ partners to deliver outcomes within timelines
- Define needed governance, policies, and procedures to support and keep traction on assigned projects; regularly update and close loop on overall progress, issues resolutions and other matters raised
Employee Engagement
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives for the Mumbai location, as well as measure overall effectiveness of these activities
- Lead the conceptualization and organization of campaigns and activities to boost employee engagement, enhance employee wellbeing and improve collaboration
- Own marketing and communications strategy for T&G and employee engagement initiatives
People Partner support
- Support business growth and strategy execution from an HR perspective, with guidance from the Senior HRBP
- Operationalize people initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Provide HRBP Support, day-to-day HR support and execution of strategies for assigned client group
- Pro-actively manage daily / annual HR process for Headcount Planning (AOP), Performance Management, Organizational Change, Compensation planning, and Talent & Succession Planning
- Assess employee training and development needs to address performance gaps
- Advise employees on policies and processes, including but not limited to performance management and employee relations
- Keep the HR team informed on industry HR trends which may affect the business and build strong credible relationships to get buy in for HR initiatives
- Engage with the Centre of Excellence (COEs), such as Global HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Relations to ensure seamless execution of HR deliverables
- Assist in org design work when required
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years successful track record of developing, aligning and delivering learning, leadership and OD strategies and programs to business strategy
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as an HRBP or HR generalist
- Experience in training and facilitation
- Technical expertise in HR processes, practices and labour legislations

Educational Qualifications:
