This role is part of Tax Provision & FPA team within The Disney Tax Operations Group and reports to Manager, Tax Provision & FPA. The key responsibilities of the role include:
• Review tax provision calculation (quarterly financial reporting and periodic internal forecasts) prepared by the local accounting teams to ensure compliance with US GAAP requirements
• Manage local accounting teams of the assigned countries to ensure that data is submitted timely and analyze information received from them
• Liaise with other corporate tax teams to ensure effective capturing and communicating of non-US tax provision results and impacts
• Support the preparation of cause of change analysis (including effective tax rate and cash taxes) for tax forecasts
• Document findings and results with supporting facts/assumptions and analysis, including accounting and tax research
• Determine impact analysis of newly enacted tax laws
• Provide guidance on taxability of Fringe Benefit
• Support U.S. theme park tax planning projects
• Support and train local accounting teams to advance their tax accounting knowledge
• Keep abreast of local country business and tax law changes and analyze tax provision impact
• Must be comfortable working cross functionally and making business connections with multiple stakeholders and information suppliers
