What will you do

This role requires a strong foundation in tax compliance and associated reconciliations and tax-related competencies. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee execution of direct tax operational support activities (e.g. provisioning inputs, TP data coordination, forecasting support)
  • Review and sign off key deliverables, ensuring adherence to internal controls and quality standards
  • Manage workload allocation across Managers and Assistant Managers to ensure optimal utilisation

Governance, Risk & Controls

  • Ensure processes operate in line with global tax policies, SOX/internal control frameworks, and regulatory requirements
  • Act as first escalation point for complex operational issues, compliance risks, and audit queries
  • Lead preparation and review of audit support documentation and responses
  • Monitor and improve control effectiveness across all processes

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Oversee day-to-day interaction with outsourced/co-sourced providers
  • Monitor SLA/KPI performance, identify gaps, and drive remediation actions
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Indirect Tax, Controllership, IER teams)
  • Support Associate Director in governance forums and performance reviews

Process Optimisation & Transformation

  • Identify opportunities for standardisation, automation, and efficiency improvements
  • Lead implementation of process improvements and support technology initiatives (e.g. tax engines, e-invoicing, reporting tools)
  • Maintain and enhance SOPs and process documentation

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop Managers and Assistant Managers
  • Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and capability development of the team

What will you bring

  • Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
  • Experience: Minimum 8+ years post-qualification, including in-house multinational tax operational experience; prior Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in direct and indirect tax compliance and governance, ideally within a multinational or shared services/outsourced environment.
  • Experience with vendor/outsourced delivery models, performance management, and process improvement.
  • Exposure to US GAAP tax provisioning, transfer pricing operational oversight, and managing audit support activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities, with a commercial mindset and focus on cost optimisation.

What you need to know
