About the Role & Team:

The Digital Innovation Business Development Manager, based in the New York office, will support the development, execution, and operation of new Disney Consumer Products (DCP) digital growth opportunities, supporting and owning projects across multiple growing and existing businesses. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Innovation Business Development, this role will help pursue new growth opportunities by researching industry trends, identifying partnership opportunities, supporting deal negotiations, and cross-functional team collaboration to drive strategic initiatives. In addition, the Business Development Manager will own and manage the existing Kids Interactive business, overseeing the business operations (partner relations, marketing support, cross-functional TWDC stakeholder management) and partner with the product development team to ensure contract execution.

The Manager will also work cross-functionally across TWDC with multiple departments, including Creative, Marketing, Finance, Consumer Products, Production, Studios, Channels, and Franchise Management, to align on key strategic initiatives and support business operations. Additionally, they will help the Senior Manager develop communication materials (presentations, one-pagers) and financial models to support internal decision-making and presentations to senior stakeholders.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage the Kids Interactive Business Portfolio by overseeing the business operations (partner relations, marketing support, TWDC stakeholder management)

  • Conduct industry research on market trends, emerging platforms, and digital business models to help shape long-term strategy.

  • Assist in deal negotiations with third-party partners, from initial discussions to contract execution, working closely with Disney Legal and Finance.

  • Manage project workflows across the Kids Interactive portfolio, ensuring smooth execution from product development to release, including marketing and distribution efforts.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business performance metrics, providing insights and analysis for ongoing strategy adjustments.

  • Collaborate across TWDC divisions to support third-party partnerships and ensure alignment with Disney’s overall business objectives.

  • Help the Senior Manager prepare presentations and reports for senior stakeholders, including strategic recommendations, business cases, and financial analysis.

  • Maintain relationships with internal and external partners to foster collaboration and drive business growth.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in business development, strategy, partnerships, digital media, or consumer products, preferably in the interactive or entertainment industry.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize data and market insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience in deal negotiation, contract execution, or partnership management is a plus.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to create and present executive-level presentations and reports.

  • Familiarity with financial modeling and business analysis.

The hiring range for this position in New York is $119,200 to $159,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
