Job Summary:

Disney’s Revenue & Yield Management division is seeking a Director of Inventory Analytics to join its dynamic team whose responsibilities span rate card execution, selling schedule creation, inventory management, and reporting. The team regularly interacts with a broad array of other departments, including Pricing & Planning, all levels of Sales, Global Ad Ops, Network Scheduling, Network Promo, Traffic, Tech, Sales Enablement, Research, Client Solutions, and Finance. The goal of the team is to maximize revenue through inventory management across both upfront and scatter marketplace.

The Director of Inventory Analytics will be the central inventory lead across broadcast and cable entertainment.  The Director will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties, including ABC Broadcast Network, Syndication and 10 Cable Networks valued at $2B+ in total platform.  The Director ensures rate card/offerings are optimized to yield maximum revenue based on marketplace pricing and property performance. This role works with closely with the Pricing and Planning, Revenue Analytics, and Global Ad Operations in conjunction with several other internal stakeholders. 

Responsibilities:

  • Direct team of 10+ including senior managers, managers, and analysts through daily/ weekly responsibilities & priorities.

  • Key senior liaison to Programming, Content, Production, Entertainment Brand Solutions, Revenue Analytics, Planning & Scheduling teams.

  • Oversee team that manages ebb and flow of programming schedule changes.

  • Direct, build and manage a package of consolidated weekly pricing and inventory reports in conjunction with director/s of the revenue analytics team.

  • Work across various working committees with key constituents like Technology & Sales Enablement to set up business for future (measurement changes).

  • Responsible for management, development, and support of staff, which includes yearly performance reviews in addition to timely feedback on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 10+ years of media/ad sales/finance experience.

  • Expert in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills with comfort leading projects and driving cross-departmental solutions.

  • Quantitative-thinker, with superior problem-solving skills.

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $190,800 to $233,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
