Job Overview:
The Senior Vice President of Data, Measurement and Analytics and the Vice President of Marketplace & Portfolio Insights at Disney Entertainment Television are seeking an Executive Assistant to support their daily responsibilities, while demonstrating the ability to work independently and meet stringent deadlines. The ideal candidate is a highly organized professional with strong communication skills, excellent judgment, self-motivation, and an attention to detail, capable of interfacing effectively with various team members, senior executives (both internally and externally), and personnel. Strong time management and multitasking skills are essential, along with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion. Candidates should also be prepared to collaborate on additional duties as required.
The Disney Entertainment Research, Insights & Analytics team supports Disney’s Networks (ABC, FX, Freeform, DBT, Nat Geo, and ABC News), Direct-to-Consumer Streamers (Disney+ and Hulu), Ad Sales, and Distribution. As an Executive Assistant, the candidate will play a crucial role on the support team. We are seeking poised self-starters with a comprehensive understanding of the multiplatform entertainment business who can proactively anticipate needs, demonstrate follow-through, and exhibit collaborative teamwork.
Responsibilities:
Represent the offices of the SVP of Data, Measurement, and Analytics and the VP of Marketplace & Portfolio Insights with a high level of professional etiquette. Effectively communicate with teams at all levels across DET and platforms, as well as external parties.
Prepare, submit, and track expense reports and business invoices along with other administrative tasks.
Schedule meetings across departments and brands, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Serve as a point of contact for miscellaneous inquiries from internal and external sources, conducting necessary research or directing them to the appropriate department or individual.
Manage special projects, generate reports requested by senior management, and prepare meeting materials (e.g., compile grids and gather relevant information from multiple brands).
Provide support to Admin teams in connection with databases and other software systems.
Maintain and update various charts and reports.
Collaborate in updating templates and policy guidelines.
Arrange business travel and logistics.
Foster a positive, inclusive environment for all office and team interactions.
Manage the flow of information, documents, and files in/out of the office and department.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience working at a high-volume desk.
Ability to multitask and prioritize, independently managing and disseminating a variety of assignments punctually and efficiently.
Demonstrated proficiency in procurement processes.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and dedication to follow-through.
Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the capacity to effectively liaise with productions, agencies, other studios, and all levels of leadership.
Collaborative working style and strong interpersonal skills, partnering with key stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Maintain a positive, professional demeanor under pressure.
Ability to anticipate executive needs and manage frequently changing priorities effectively.
Flexibility and adaptability to change course of action quickly when necessary.
Strong sense of purpose, competence, authority, and compassion in approaching work.
Resourcefulness and critical problem-solving approach.
Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP Concur.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience working at a high-volume desk in a production house, media, or tech company, with a strong understanding of the television and streaming industry.
Experience supporting an SVP or higher-level executive is preferred.
Experience in Airtable a strong plus.
Knowledge and passion for the entertainment and media industries.
Legal or business affairs experience is desirable.
Required Education:
A four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
The hiring range for this position in New York is $61,500.00 to $82,300 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
