The Ad Partnerships team at Disney Advertising is responsible for evaluating and optimizing partnerships, revenue models and workflows to enhance the premium ad experience and fuel strategic initiatives across The Walt Disney Company.

About the Role & Team:

The Manager, Ad Partnerships will play a key role in supporting the growth of Disney Advertising revenue across brands and platforms. This individual will be the day-to-day lead for key third-party partnerships including social platforms and YouTube, supporting the development of emerging partnerships as needed. They will be responsible for leveraging their accounts’ platform resources, products and analytics to maximize ad revenue.  They will enhance the organization’s business decisions and industry expertise with marketplace intelligence. They will contribute to platform terms negotiations and the evaluation and introduction of new product offerings to the Sales team. The individual will report to the Senior Manager, Ad Partnerships.     

What You Will Do:

  • Partner Management: Builds and maintains day-to-day relationship for key social/addressable platforms (e.g., TikTok, YouTube, Meta, Snapchat, X), supporting the Senior Manager
    • Liaison between Disney Advertising and external partners to help identify new tools and opportunities for sales team to help grow revenue
    • Shares Ad Sales information and insights to support relationships and negotiations
    • Advocates for Disney Advertising needs, policies and priorities, and growth
    • Communicates key partner developments to internal stakeholders (e.g., deal points, revenue implications of changes, product roadmaps, growth) 
    • Leverages partner resources to get competitive insights on innovative ad products and business models
  • Performance management: Monitors partner performance to inform growth strategy
    • Analyzes performance of key shows, franchises, ad products and platforms and makes recommendations based on learnings
    • Solicits input from internal stakeholders about opportunities for improvement and barriers to growth
  • Growth: Collaborates across Ad Sales and The Walt Disney Company to drive social revenue growth
    • Collaborates with multiple internal departments including Distribution, Content/Edit/Marketing, Ad Sales, Pricing, Operations and Legal in the evaluation and development of new revenue-driving initiatives
    • Partners with Brand Content and Consumer Marketing teams to ensure alignment with business unit priorities
  • Marketplace intelligence: Ensures colleagues and leaders are armed with best practices and information about the latest developments related to their areas of focus
    • Maintains strong, up-to-date command of the breadth and depth of partner platform capabilities
    • Regularly shares industry trends, insights, competitive developments and new launches with internal stakeholders to enhance organizational expertise

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years in media, with experience in digital/social media, and exposure to ad sales and/or e-commerce

  • Partner / account management experience

  • Track record of collaboration, consensus-building and project management across functional areas and levels of seniority

  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for emerging media and technology including social and video distribution platforms

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter with curiosity, creativity and resourcefulness

  • Solution-oriented and can recommendation based on analysis and input from stakeholders

  • Adept at developing data-driven insights and strategies

  • Ability to lead meetings, listen and communicate effectively across functions / levels

  • Adept at simultaneously managing multiple work streams and prioritizing

  • A flexible team member who embraces change and is willing to jump in as needed

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point or Keynote

Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

The hiring range for this position based in New York is $130,800 to $159,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
