Disney is seeking an SEO Marketing Manager for its Disney+ streaming service. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully launching and optimizing a large-scale SEO program, managing multiple large projects simultaneously, effectively collaborating with marketing and cross-functional teams in a large, matrixed global organization, establishing and tracking results against KPIs, and presenting to a broad range of stakeholders and senior leadership.
As SEO Marketing Manager you will lead the development and execution of the global Disney+ SEO program and contribute to The Walt Disney Company’s broader SEO efforts. The primary focus of this role will be to optimize the organic search experience for Disney+-related keywords and capture organic search demand relating to Disney+ and Disney+ bundles. You will track and analyze a high volume of keywords, assist in the creation of search-optimized content, and run tests to increase reach and maximize conversion of our organic search traffic. You will partner with SEO leads located in EMEA, APAC, CA, and LATAM to ensure that regional and local market objectives are met and manage the relationship and output of our SEO agency.
You will collaborate closely with the Disney+ Paid Media, Product Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Brand and Content Marketing teams, and Product and Engineering teams to improve the efficiency of paid search and performance of Disney+ in organic search. You will also maintain an expert-level understanding of the latest industry trends, best practices, and search engine algorithm changes.
Responsibilities:
Develop strategies for growing organic search traffic to increase Disney+ and Disney Bundle signups and improve subscriber retention
Execute the global SEO strategy for Disney+ in close coordination with the Disney+ Regional Marketing, Product Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams
Partner with regional SEO leads working to grow organic traffic in markets outside the U.S.
Coordinate with Studio marketing teams and regional marketing leads to develop, build, and grow our content marketing capabilities and increase the volume of quality content published on disneyplus.com
Track KPIs and other key metrics for the SEO program and SEO campaigns for individual title releases
Partner with the Product and Engineering teams to define SEO-related requirements for our websites
In partnership with Disney Synergy Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, and PR teams, develop and execute link building strategies with Disney owned and operated websites and external partners, media, and influencers
Work with Marketing Analytics to develop and enhance dashboards and reporting
Work with Experimentation teams to identify, prioritize, execute and report on A/B testing opportunities
Deliver regular reports on SEO performance to stakeholders and leadership
Track changes to search engine algorithms and communicate important updates to internal teams
Basic Requirements:
5+ years experience in SEO Marketing required; experience at the manager level preferred
Experience managing a small, high performing team
Demonstrated track record of growing organic search traffic in a large global organization
Experience managing an agency relationship
Extensive experience with keyword research, information architecture, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors
Knowledge of structured data schemas, rich snippets, internal linking strategies, keyword usage, and semantic analysis.
Experience with enterprise CMS platforms
Attention to detail, with an ability to identify issues and quickly implement solutions
Exceptional project management skills
Proficient in agile methodologies and working knowledge of Jira
Experience analyzing data, monitoring and continually improving campaigns, and ensuring campaign goals are being met
Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
Experience supporting globally distributed stakeholders
Self-motivated, with a drive to exceed expectations
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with A/B testing for SEO
Experience with marketing SVOD services and content
Experience with Gen AI models and optimization
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $119,200.00 to $159,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
