The Disney Entertainment Subscriber Planning Team might just be the team for you! We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our hard working team. We lead the subscriber, engagement and revenue growth planning functions. We contribute to the growth and success of the Disney’s suite of streaming services: Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ by providing data to key partners to empower their decision making.

This Senior Analyst will play a key role in growing our direct-to-consumer business, with a strong focus on Content Forecasting. They will help identify some of the business’ key issues and opportunities by providing subscriber visibility/transparency and help provide solutions by effectively partnering with cross functional teams to evaluate critical initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Build forecast models for Disney Entertainment content releases and the subsequent impacts on subscriber acquisition and retention
  • Partner with content teams and regional partners to optimize timing of content releases
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders from content planning, data analytics, strategy, research and operational marketing and scheduling teams
  • Support strategic ad hoc analysis to highlight KPI trends, opportunities / risks to plan, size new offerings, evaluate new strategic initiatives
  • Maintain a strong understanding of operating performance (e.g. KPIs, subscribers), major deals and transactions, issues and challenges facing the businesses, and relevant trends in the streaming business
  • Develop impactful, compelling presentation materials (decks, notes, write-ups, backup materials, etc.)

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 2+ years of strategy or finance experience within the tech, media & entertainment, management consultancy or investment bank / private equity industries
  • Strong analytical capabilities and financial modeling skills (MS Excel), including the ability to build models from scratch
  • Strong communication skills- both verbal and written and ability to simplify complex matters for an executive audience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel/Powerpoint
  • Ability to have flexibility with juggling multiple tasks and projects at the same time, while keeping management properly informed
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced enivornment
  • Familiarity with working in or with global, large organizations is a plus

Education

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • MBA or equivalent degree is a plus

Job Posting Statement The hiring range for this position in NY is $104,200.00-$143,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
