Inventory Planning weaves science, data, and magic to choreograph optimal supply of the Costumes that create and enrich the experience of our guests and Cast around the world. Using data and analytics combined with a little pixie dust, we strive to have the right Costumes, at the right place, in the right quantity, at the right time.
This position will report to the Area Manager of Costume Planning.
This is a temporary role with no guarantee of permanent placement.
What you will do
Use automated systems and off-line tools to maintain and complete forecasting process for costumes
Use historical data, current business activities and inputs from collaborators to determine optimal inventory levels in the warehouse as well as Costume Issue locations
Partner and provide timely communication to Operational Costuming leaders and sites regarding inventory status
Assist in developing analytical tools and evaluate business processes to support complex decision making
Provide ongoing data verification, as well as conduct sophisticated data analysis using statistical techniques, conceptual thinking skills and creative problem solving skills
Required Qualifications & Skills
1+ years experience in purchasing, supply chain, inventory forecasting or related
Experience working in a business environment where cost benefit and return on investment analysis are key decision factors
Experience collaborating and working through compromise that result in win/win agreements and outcomes
Experience delivering work product timely while communicating with executive leadership and clients
Experience providing customer service to internal clients, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Experience working in a fast paced environment with competing tasks
Experience communicating (written & verbal) with all levels of partners
Ability to travel between work locations in a given day
Ability to work with various synthetic fibers and furs
Flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays are required
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts products
1+ years experience with inventory tracking, modeling, and analysis
Experience with statistical analysis software and analysis of large data sets (SQL/SSRS)
Experience translating complex data and analytics into compelling business stories for non-technical audiences
Education
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics/Statistics/Supply Chain Management or related field is required
