Team Description
The Corporate Technology group within Enterprise Technology is responsible for delivering and supporting the technology that powers TWDC’s corporate functions, enterprise workflows, and service management platforms. Our scope spans the entire product lifecycle – from setting strategy and roadmaps to overseeing project delivery, engineering, and ongoing support. Through these efforts, we drive digital transformation across our business, workforce, and technology communities.

This role is located within the Audience & Content Engagement area that works with marketing, communications, and content teams across The Walt Disney Company. From evergreen digital destinations to campaigns and events, this team provides solutions for the full flywheel of content publication, discovery, engagement, amplification, and insights. These enable measurable connections to business engagement and performance. 

Responsibilities of Role
The Associate Product Designer plays a key role in delivering high-quality, accessible digital experiences that reflect Disney’s brand, storytelling, and innovation standards. This position is ideal for an early‑career designer who is eager to apply user‑centered design principles to real-world production websites while learning and growing within a collaborative, cross‑functional technology team.

In this role, you will translate business vision, content, and brand standards into production-ready digital experiences. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, marketers, and content owners to design, build, and validate responsive websites that meet Disney’s high bar for usability, accessibility, performance, and visual excellence.

Design & Delivery

  • Translate business vision and content into production-ready digital experiences using established design systems and configurable web components to increase delivery velocity and improve the user experience.

  • Apply Disney design frameworks and digital accessibility best practices from early wireframes through high fidelity mockups and live production launches.

  • Buildout responsive websites from approved designs using low  or no code front end tools (e.g. WordPress Gutenberg) and HTML/ CSS where needed.

User Experience & Quality

  • Embed within cross functional product teams to guide and validate user experience design from portfolio level planning through product level execution.

  • Lead internal validation of user experience, content quality, and accessibility during new product launches and content migrations.

  • Review proposed enhancements and changes to ensure alignment with desired user experience, accessibility, and design standards.

Content & Platform Enablement

  • Partner with business and content owners during onboarding, content audits, migrations, and ongoing support to increase platform adoption and self sufficiency.

  • Guide site and content owners in building effective digital content using platform specifications, accessibility best practices, SEO fundamentals, and modern UX/UI standards.

  • Build and maintain reusable content templates, patterns, components, and building blocks using tools such as WordPress Gutenberg, Figma and Adobe Photoshop.

  • Develop, maintain, and contribute to documentation for associated design standards, front end tools, and best practices.

Collaboration & Growth

  • Build strong working relationships with digital product and technology teams across the enterprise.

  • Participate in design reviews, critiques, and continuous improvement of design systems and processes.

  • Stay informed on emerging UX trends, accessibility standards, and digital experience best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating digital design work across desktop and mobile experiences, including both individual and team-based projects.

  • Experience using digital design tools to build wireframes, high-fidelity comps, and clickable prototypes of responsive web applications.

  • Experience with front-end web development and styling using HTML and CSS.

  • Experience building and customizing WordPress CMS websites using WYSIWYG page builders (e.g.  Gutenberg, Beaver Builder, Divi, Elementor).

  • Passion for user centered design, iteration, and continuous learning.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a pixel perfect attention to detail.

  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team that includes both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Flexible, organized, and motivated to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using design systems and component libraries in Figma.

  • Experience using AI enabled tools for design exploration, mockups, or front end prototyping.

  • Basic experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications for media formatting and export, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Familiarity with web standards and optimization for images and video.

  • Familiarity with digital accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.

  • Passion for the legacy, brands, and offerings of The Walt Disney Company.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Interaction Design, Human–Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $84,800.00 to $113,600.00. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
