The Associate Product Manager-Software Management works closely with the Product Management organization as well as segment/BU technology leads and business partners as a focal point for employee and end-point software. This role performs business requirements capture, data and financial analytics, develops solutions in support of product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. This includes the ongoing evaluating of software requests and deployed software against current technical standards, establishing trends, developing new standards, and implementing cost control practices such as license harvesting. This role will also assist in developing a centralized software license management program and sustainment practice.

This role is part of the Digital Experience (DX) organization within Enterprise Technology. Our mission is to enable the digital employee in their day-to-day work through efficient delivery and integration of common and secure platforms, products and devices that provide them with an experience that supports responsible and efficient collaboration and communication with partners. You will focus on employee and end-point software technical requirements, standardization, demand management and product fulfillment strategies while ensuring Digital Experience and other Enterprise IT teams and subject matter experts are appropriately involved, engaged and adaptable.

The Associate Product Manager's focus will usually be on measures such as, but not limited to, user needs and business value throughout a product or portfolio of products lifecycle.

Product Management

  • Support product management tasks.

  • Maintain product roadmaps

  • Contributes to market research

  • Support problem resolution

  • Resolve issues and acts on feedback and usage of in-life products

  • Maintain reports as appropriate for portfolio governance

  • Elicit and analyze requirements — both functional and non-functional

  • Ensure that customer requirements and priorities are accurately reflected

  • Organize and prioritize requirements using techniques such as — but not limited to — product roadmaps, epics, user stories and backlogs

  • Provide input to the requirements base-line

  • Investigate, manage and apply authorized requests for changes to base-lined requirements, in line with change management policy

Service Management

  • Manage the performance of systems and services in terms of their contribution to business outcomes, financial costs and sustainability

  • End-to-end management of services, whether delivered internally or sourced externally

  • Integrate internal and external services as well as delivery options leveraging multiple service delivery capabilities

  • Develop and implement continual service improvement plans to ensure the technology services adequately support changing needs

Portfolio Management

  • Align of investment with specific business strategies and objectives

  • Assess cost, risk, inter-dependencies, and impact on existing business activities

  • Prioritize resource utilization and changes to be implemented

  • Management the service pipeline (proposed or in development), service catalog (live or available for deployment) and retired services

Demand Management

  • Collaborate with the business to prioritize demand to improve business value.

  • Develop and communicate insights into patterns of demand.

  • Propose responses to meet both short-term and long-term demand and facilitating decision-making and planning

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in an enterprise technology department, in a product/service management capacity

  • 1+ year(s) using a standard project management methodology

  • Experience defining standards and technology roadmaps for technology services and solutions

  • Experience working in a large multi-business unit environment providing comprehensive support of digital experience products and services Integrations in an enterprise environment

  • Proficient in project management technologies and methodologies to include experience in creating and developing project plans

  • Foundational understanding of the Shared Services environment

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with clients at any level

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills / creative abilities

  • Demonstrated relationship management skills and experience

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
