About the Role:
The Facilities Manager role for Disney Central will oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all facility infrastructure, including spaces, utilities, safety systems, and campus grounds. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our facilities, contributing to the positive experience for our cast. The Facilities Manager will lead a team of facilities coordinators as well as collaborating with contractors and service providers to maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Primary responsibilities include strategic vendor management (including cafeteria, security, maintenance, building design, and custodial services), comprehensive fleet vehicle oversight, proactive environmental and safety program leadership, and ownership of site-related procurement processes. The manager plays a critical role in cultivating a safe, efficient, and inspiring environment for Cast Members, driving initiatives and continuous improvements that enhance both operational excellence and the Cast experience.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Infrastructure Support, this leader collaborates closely with peers and partners across Orlando, Tampa, and other areas within Disney Central to ensure business objectives are consistently achieved and exceeded. The Facilities Manager is a trusted advisor and problem-solver, empowering teams and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and service excellence.
Responsibilities:
The Facilities Manager serves as a strategic leader dedicated to upholding Disney’s world-class standards across the Disney Central facilities. This pivotal role is directly accountable for ensuring all buildings are consistently “show ready,” proactively managing readiness for unexpected events, and driving forward-thinking strategies in preventive maintenance and site enhancements.
- Manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of all facility infrastructure, including spaces, utilities, safety systems, and campus grounds.
- Supervise facilities coordinators and coordinate with contractors and service providers.
- Develop, implement, and update emergency preparedness plans, including evacuation, fire response, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations.
- Lead and conduct emergency response training and regular drills with staff.
- Serve as the site’s primary point of contact during emergencies, providing leadership and coordination with local emergency services and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain all relevant records and documentation related to safety, inspections, and compliance with OSHA, fire, building codes, and The Walt Disney Company standards.
- Execute risk assessments and identify opportunities for operational improvements in facilities and emergency management practices.
- Monitor facility budgets and participate in the planning of capital improvements and large-scale projects.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with Cast Members, Leadership, and stakeholders regarding facility status, issues, and emergency procedures.
- Support sustainability efforts and corporate social responsibility initiatives related to facilities management.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management, with specific experience in emergency preparedness and response.
- Advanced knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), safety protocols, building codes, and OSHA regulations.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience with staff and vendor management.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficient in emergency response techniques, business continuity planning, and crisis communication best practices.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices preferred.
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, emergency management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Facilities Management (CFM), Emergency Management (CEM), or similar
- Experience in entertainment, hospitality, or theme park environments.
- First Aid/CPR and other relevant safety certifications.
