Guest Relations Cast proactively engage with Guests, while upholding our Disney heritage and traditions for world class Guest Service. They are dedicated to the Guest experience, assessing individual needs and proactively develop personal individualized experiences for our Guests. We make MAGIC!
Responsibilities:
- Guest Relations Cast are equipped with real-time park information to share tips, and tricks to maximize Guest’s visit
- Manage recovery tools to aid in an array of situations including handling critical issues, navigating escalated interactions and being dispatched to operational downtimes
- Handle conflict resolution, resolve Guest concerns, and make decisions in high-pressure situations through a delicate balance of integrity, empathy, and care
- Work in a partnership setting where they must communicate extensively and adjust quickly to operational changes providing support across the entire Walt Disney World property
- Flexible and support unusual and unplanned situations by performing crowd control functions, responding to operational downtimes and other isolated incidents and distributing Guest service recovery
- Engage with over 20 high-tech applications and systems, often using multiple at the same time while maintaining Guest confidentiality
- Coordinate My Disney Experience profiles, ticket entitlements, and Guest itineraries. Guest Relations Cast also assist with ticket entitlement modifications, payments, and exceptions
- Provide information on services for Guest with disabilities, language assistance, and dining reservations
- Assist in an array of roles, including the Guest Experience Team; at all four Theme Parks, Disney Springs, both Water Parks and ESPN Wide World of Sports
Basic Qualifications:
- Six (6) months of Walt Disney World experience
- Meet Walt Disney World Transfer Guidelines: No more than one (1) reprimand in the past six (6) months and no more than four (4) attendance entries in the past six (6) months
- Passion and familiarity of Disney Products
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate and display the 5 Keys
- Comfortable working independently with limited direct leadership
- Computer, mobile device and technical proficiency with the ability to navigate between multiple and concurrent complex applications
- Prolonged standing and walking to assist with Guests, and maintain crowd control during peak operational hours in indoor and outdoor settings during different weather conditions, including direct sunlight
- Part-Time requires full availability for any shift, (3) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Two weeks of Full Availability required for Training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual: Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, French & German
- Experience with cash handling including multiple forms of payment, foreign currencies, credit card transactions & discounts
- Experience working with ticketing systems, hotel management systems, and/or other point of sales platforms
- Prior experience in a customer service, support, or problem-solving role
