Job Summary:

Housekeepers bring passion and dedication to creating magical experiences for our Guests during their Walt Disney World Resort stays by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and delivering outstanding Guest service. The Housekeeper cleans Guest rooms, including stripping and making beds, cleaning floors, dusting, and replenishing items such as linens and amenities. Housekeepers also monitor work orders, use technology to respond to Guest requests, and report maintenance needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean assigned rooms within shift time requirements while meeting inspection standards, including self-inspections (average of 14–22 rooms per shift)
  • Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies in accordance with company guidelines
  • Clean and sanitize Guest rooms, including floors, furniture, electronics, telephones, windows, mirrors, and other surfaces
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including sinks, bathtubs, showers, toilets, and tile floors using approved cleaning products and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of employee areas, housekeeping carts, and tools
  • Replenish Guest amenities such as soaps, towels, tissues, and coffee
  • Use a smartphone to access Guest room assignments and submit work orders
  • Transport housekeeping carts containing cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to assigned Guest rooms and replenish supplies as needed
  • Report unusual room conditions or rooms in need of repair
  • Address Guest concerns in accordance with established service standards and notify leadership of actions taken
  • Deliver exceptional Guest service to help create memorable experiences
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Complete tasks using tools and systems required to perform assigned responsibilities accurately
  • Additional personal protective equipment (PPE), including face shields, gloves, goggles, and refillable hand sanitizers, may be required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
  • Minimum of 1 year of housekeeping experience in a full-service hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to interact with Guests, Cast Members, and leadership and to perform job-related responsibilities
  • Perform all job responsibilities safely using PPE and within the required range of motion using appropriate tools
  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout multiple resort areas, including climbing stairs
  • Physical role requiring repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching, and kneeling throughout the workday
  • Full-Time availability: available to work any time of day, any day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Part-Time availability: three days of full availability for any time of day, any day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are preferred
  • Valid Driver's License

SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY:
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
