Job Summary:

Are you passionate about the safety of our Guests while creating a magical experience throughout their stay? We are responsible for engaging Guests, loading and unloading our water park attractions, delivering narrations of varying lengths to large groups, and providing audience control in various weather conditions!

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Prolonged standing and walking to various attractions in the park including climbing several flights of stairs
  • We ensure the safety of ride operation, including verifying that our Guests are properly seated before the ride is set into motion and measuring children at the height station
  • We provide safety and ride information spiels on a microphone or by projecting our voices
  • We engage with thousands of Guests by addressing needs, answering questions, giving directions and other information about the water park or surrounding areas
  • We take ownership during emergencies
  • Dispatch rafts
  • Evacuate slides in case of shut down or emergency
  • Exhibit a positive, friendly attitude on stage to Guests to maintain the show quality of the Disney experience
  • Maintain a clean work location that is show ready at all times
  • Greet Guests and verify boarding requirements
  • Implement rules and safety policies
  • Communicate using TEN codes
  • Working in and around water, heights, standing the majority of the day and working outdoors
  • Multi-tasking
  • Raking/Sweeping
  • May be responsible for slide testing each attraction before park opening
  • Attraction environment being responsible with pushing buttons to start/stop/E-stop the attraction.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication
  • Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and kneeling
  • We use observational skills to proactively identify Guests’ needs and ensure safety guidelines are being followed
  • Part-time requires full availability for any shift, a MINIMUM of three (3) days per week, including nights and holidays.
  • Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required.
  • Cast members can be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual preferred
  • Previous experience speaking in front of large groups or audiences

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
