| The Cultural Representative Program is a twelve-month work experience located at Walt Disney World® Resort, near Orlando, Florida. It is an opportunity to be immersed in different cultures from around the world and build lifelong relationships. Participants need to be able to authentically represent and showcase the distinctive cultures and traditions of one of the countries or regions we have recreated in look and ambiance at the Walt Disney World Resort. They will also be interacting with people from across the globe and crafting immersive experiences for our guests, while fulfilling various front-line, customer-facing roles! Countries and regions represented are: Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Norway, Sub-Saharan Africa (Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe), and United Kingdom. Responsibilities:
Our Sub-Saharan Africa Cultural Representatives can be placed one of the three roles listed below. There are the descriptions for each position:- Engaging Guests in informal conversations on topics such as wildlife, animal behavior, animal care and conservation, as well as your heritage, your individual country and the continent of Africa
- Initiating conversations with small and large groups of people and adjusting conversation content to a variety of age levels
- Leading a variety of cultural and animal related activities for Guests of all ages, including families with young children
- Increasing your knowledge regarding wildlife and conservation-related issues and sharing it with Guests
- Ensuring Guest safety in animal viewing areas
- Providing resort and park information to Guests
- Maintaining Guest areas Show Ready
- Utilizing a computerized reservation system for seating Guests in restaurant
- Escorting Guests to tables while showcasing the restaurant theme
- Enhancing Guests' cultural awareness through stories about your country and African cuisine
- Setting and stocking tables, carts, and restaurants side stations
- Cash handling - manual and using computerized registers
- Bussing tables, cleaning kitchen and counter equipment, emptying trash cans
- Leading a variety of cultural activities for Guests of all ages, including families with young children
- Heavy lifting
- Proactively greeting every Guest that enters or leaves the resort with a traditional African Greeting
- Enhancing Guests' cultural awareness through stories about your country and African heritage
- Leading a variety of cultural activities for Guests of all ages, including families with young children
- Initiating conversations with small and large groups of people and adjusting conversation content to a variety of age levels
- Providing resort and park information to Guests
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- Maintaining Guest areas Show Ready
Basic Qualifications:
To be eligible to apply for the Sub-Saharan Africa Cultural Representative Program, you MUST:- Speak English fluently.
- Be at least 18 years of age to apply.
- Be able to authentically represent Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Be receptive to Disney Look guidelines.
- Be fully available to work Sunday through Saturday, including days and nights, holidays and overtime.
The presentations will take place in CAPE TOWN, JOHANNESBURG, NAMIBIA or BOTSWANA in April 2026. NO virtual presentation/interviews will be available.

Additional Information:
