We are seeking a Business Planning and Development Manager to support long term strategy development, identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving revenue growth and expand the Walt Disney company’s consumer products footprint.
The Business Planning and Development Manager will develop and implement strategic plans, build strong relationships with potential and existing partners, and collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure efficiencies, effectiveness and the successful delivery of products or services.
This critical role will play a pivotal part in achieving organizational goals by uncovering market trends, understanding customer needs, and ensuring the company remains at the forefront of consumers minds.
This position will work across Disney, Marvel, Lucas, National Geographic and Fox franchises, various categories (hardlines, softlines, consumables, publishing, digital), with local, regional and global teams.
Ideal experience:
- 5+ years in a commercial/new business role
- Proven success driving brand and product growth
- Proven experience managing budgets and developing commercial strategies with proven results
- Highly driven and motivated to achieve targets and deadlines
- Enthusiastic collaborator and team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Entreprenurial mindset - Knows how or where to obtain information; is resourceful
- Deep understanding of consumers and ability to develop key insights and use data to tell a story and drive decisions
- P&L management
- Strong attention to detail; organized and manages timelines effectively
- Keynote, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency.
