About the Role & Program
The Lucasfilm Franchise Marketing department currently has an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate student to work as an intern, supporting the legendary Lucasfilm franchises. If selected, you would gain first-hand knowledge in how to manage a global brand as well as how to launch upcoming streaming and theatrical releases.
The Franchise Marketing team at Lucasfilm is responsible for maintaining the Star Wars Franchise as a 365 d/y brand. Made of up of a team of experienced marketers, we are responsible for developing the overall brand strategy, planning and execution behind the Star Wars franchise, both domestically and internationally.
If selected you would report to the Manager of International Franchise Marketing.
What You Will Do
- Help coordinate events and toolkits as needed
- Become acquainted with Lucasfilm’s location and history to help with tours for outside guests and VIPs
- Assist with presentation prep on PowerPoint & Keynote
- Handle asset requests and management
- Organize and maintain storage/swag rooms and inventory list
- Seamlessly coordinate meeting scheduling
- Participate in prize coordination and fulfillment
- Help organize the international team database and documents
- Complete a marketing project specific to the team’s current needs
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong Communication Skills: Comfortable and professional communicating via phone and email with a diverse slate of global professionals
- Strong Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Apple Keynote and database management
- Skilled in Zoom, Google Meet, Teams for domestic and internation calls
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks both efficiently and effectively
- Proven track record of both self-directed work and team tasks, paired with a proactive and positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and/or coursework in the film/entertainment industry
- Interest and/or coursework in International Markets, or International Relations
- Knowledge of and respect for the Lucasfilm Franchise and its fans
- Skilled in social media strategy and engagement
- Actively plugged into entertainment culture and evolving trends
Education
Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
- Must be able to work a consistent, reliable full-time work schedule during standard business hours, as well as flexibility to work evening/weekend events as needed
- The dates of this internship are June 1st - August 28th, 2026
- Must provide own housing during the internship program in the San Francisco area and have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
