The Lucasfilm Video Assets team is the central hub for all Franchise video content including all of the movies, shows, trailers, documentaries, behind the scenes, dailies, and legacy content. The team archives, curates, and manages over 1 million minutes of footage and works jointly across the company providing exclusive assets for new creative content, productions, and projects. As the industry continues to evolve, the team also works with the latest technology to ensure the company’s rich video legacy is preserved in its highest quality and remains accessible when needed.
We are looking for a self-starter who can work autonomously. In this role you would report to the Manager of Franchise Video Assets.
The dates of this in-person internship in San Francisco are June 1st, 2026- August 28th 2026.
What You Will Do
Projects include helping with ingesting video assets, development database, logging metadata, and providing operational support to the Video Asset Management team. This can include:
Transcoding and importing new video assets
Researching, collecting, and logging material
Maintaining accurate metadata entry in various asset management databases and tracking tools
Archiving camera original sources
Required Qualifications and Skills
Please apply if you have/are:
Experience with Avid Media Composer and other equivalent non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premier
Proven strength in organization, detail and interpersonal communication
Experience logging video content and entering metadata
Knowledge of various camera types/formats/codecs
Experience using various database tools, like FileMaker Pro
Strong Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets
Proficiency in Windows, Mac, Google Suite
Education
Currently enrolled at the Graduate Level, pursuing a Masters Degree in Film/TV production, Arts, Library Science or related field.
Undergraduate students will NOT be considered.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Must have the ability to work a consistent, reliable full-time on site work schedule throughout the internship.

Must provide own housing during the internship program in the San Francisco, CA area and have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in San Francisco, California is $30.40 per hour.
