Are you interested in growing our streaming business and improving the user experience for millions of subscribers who watch Disney+ and Hulu on TVs, game consoles, computers, and smartphones?
The Partner Growth, Business Development Intern supports the Partner Growth team within Disney’s Direct-to-Consumer streaming business. We are responsible for ongoing partner management, strategic assessments, and evaluations of growth opportunities with potential new and existing hardware partners. We work cross-functionally with marketing, product, data, and operations teams.
We’re looking for someone interested in developing market research, competitive analysis, documentation, process creation, and strategic growth skills. Over the summer, you will gain a deep understanding of Disney’s streaming businesses, our position in the streaming landscape, and the partnerships that bring Disney+ and Hulu to subscribers everywhere!
The approximate dates of this internship are May/June - August 2025. Student will work in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY.
What You Will Do:
- Identify and evaluate Disney+ and Hulu’s marketing and application presence on partner user interfaces (UI), including mobile, game console, and Smart TV partners
- Recommend partner platform feature integration opportunities to grow subscribers, engagement, or retention on partner platforms
- Compare feature integrations between Disney+ and Hulu and our streaming competitors
- Create an optimized process to continue this initiative in the future
- Support our team with strategic assessments, including partner contract renewals and ad-hoc analyses
- Help our team maintain documentation for meeting notes and presentations
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative datasets on PowerPoint/Excel and Google Slides/Sheets
- Collaborative teammate with strong verbal skills, written communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work cross functionally across a diverse set of teams
- Critical thinker with a strong business sense
- Passion for Media and Entertainment
Education
- A junior or senior in pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or a related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Additional Information:
- Fully available for the duration of the internships, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing and transportation in the San Francisco, CA OR New York City, NY area
The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
