Job Summary:

Hulu's Content Partnerships team is seeking a Network Partnerships Manager – Hulu Live who will be an outstanding addition to our growing team. In this role, you will help define our live programming strategy, tracking and evaluating co-production and licensing opportunities, negotiating directly with news content partners, and working across the company to operationalize those deals. Additionally, you will help identify opportunities for Hulu to expand its live events offering across a variety of formats and programming genres to meet evolving audience needs. This role demands someone who can blend quantitative output with a strong subjective filter to create actionable insights, dynamic interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively drive change - all at a breakneck pace.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist in the development of the content strategy for Hulu with Live TV, News on Hulu and live events programming, working with leaders to align on vision and developing tactical plans with cross-functional collaborators to implement the strategy
  • Analyze opportunities to bring network, event and news programming to the Hulu platform, and work with data teams to create and present recommendations to Hulu leaders
  • Manage relationships with content partners and assist in negotiations for licensing and co-production deals, including working closely with The Walt Disney Company studio teams and the Business Affairs/Legal departments
  • Implement content deals by collaborating with Finance team to evaluate content performance against metrics, and working with Marketing, Scheduling, Product, and Communications to communicate and execute on negotiated deal parameters
  • Track the competitive marketplace and keep leadership apprised of developments to ensure the Hulu offering continues to innovate and lead
  • Manage long-term and ad-hoc projects, including competitive analysis, to support the broader strategy of the Content Partnerships team and Hulu overall

WHAT TO BRING

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience at either a streaming service or major news network or production company, with deep first-hand knowledge of the news market, co-production and negotiation process, and relevant news programmers
  • Advanced skill in quantitative analysis and data-driven storytelling
  • Strong evidence of effective verbal and written communication
  • Business judgment, proven strategic thinking, and demonstrated consensus building skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process management
  • Ability to quickly get up-to-speed and thrive in an evolving and fast-paced environment, prioritizing and handling multiple projects concurrently, often with little supervision or lack of established process
  • Finely-honed sense of humor and willingness to participate in lively debates

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • MBA and/or corporate strategy roles, including consulting or finance


The hiring range for this position in CA is $123,000.00 to $165,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
