Job Summary:

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of a Project Financials Controller. The Project Financials Controller will work on a portfolio of projects divided across the Business Technology Platforms team ensuring monthly, tracking actuals vs forecast, preparing accruals, conducting financial forecasting, and liaising with product owners to ensure product delivery is within budget.

  • Work with Business and Functional partners to prepare and update bottom-up financial plans, forecasts, and other forward-looking financial reviews, identifying issues, and providing commentary.

  • Point of contact for financial questions/ needs (provide any required details and reporting figures to stakeholders i.e. how much do we expect to see coming in in forecast)

  • Forecast, accruals updates and management between stakeholders

  • Cost tracking and financial reporting metrics

  • Invoice processing and maintenance

  • Maintain Clarity Cost Plans for projects within their portfolio of projects

  • Work with Delivery Managers/Product Owners and Vendors to correctly collect and record accruals information

  • Work with Delivery Managers/Product Owners to create and maintain project forecast


Qualifications and skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in project accounting or finance

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office software


Additional desired qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile Delivery Processes and financial management

  • Experience with or previous exposure to Clarity

  • Experience with auditing or internal controls

  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting


The hiring range for this position in WA is $104,300.00 - $130,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
